2 Full baths
Cougar's Tree House has two bedrooms, 2 baths one has a claw foot soaking tub. The driveway is on a slope and I recommend a max 2 mid sized cars, possible 3 if compact, avoid large trucks and absolutely no trailers.
The cabin is a side Gambrel that is nestled into the side of a hill surrounded by old pine trees and native plants. The interior has been decorated with a mixture of rustic, a bit of western, and some antiques. The front has GORGEOUS panoramic views of Sugarloaf Mountain, San Gorgonio Mountain and the San Bernardino National Forest that can be enjoyed from the covered front porch!
Cougar's Tree House is centrally located in the desirable area of Lower Moonridge. Within a few minutes by car are both ski resorts Snow Summit and Bear Mountain, the lake, grocery stores and Old Town where you can find local shops, a great candy store, ice cream parlors, the Movie Theater, local dining spots and saloons!
When arriving to my cabin, you will find that it is fully furnished, equipped kitchen, beds will be made up, towels set ups in bathrooms with small toiletries, and toilet paper. Queen Hickory Log beds are furnished in each bedroom and a queen sofa sleeper in the living area, the pine chest has extra blankets, pillow and a memory foam topper.
Depending on which season you visit, you can enjoy a cool Summers evening on the front or back patio under the pines relaxing, barbecuing or taking in the fresh mountain air . In the Fall marvel at all of the Autumn colors and the local events. Winter nights perhaps one may want to cozy up next to the wood burning fireplace.
My cabin is a dog friendly establishment. Please read guest rules.
Big Bear has year round activities and Festivals like Old Minors Days, Renaissance Fair, Film Festivals, Fishing, Hiking, Skiing, Mountain Biking, Zip Lining and Fly Boarding! So whether you are coming up to escape the summer heat or snowboard in the winter. Big Bear is a popular getaway for many travelers.

“Great place for family!”
Loved the cabin. Great view of the mountain. The front and back decks were great, my wife and I could relax while my 18 month-old ran around having a blast. Deck areas are enclosed and safe for young ones to play. Cabin is close to the village and the lake and everything else you might need. Kitchen was nicely stocked with lots of dishes and cooking supplies. Appliances were clean, and in good condition. Beds were comfortable, rooms were and furniture were clean. Hot tub was nice, towels and robes were provided. Drive way is very tight but no problem if you just have one car. Owner emailed the code to get in the house so there was no stopping to sign papers somewhere, just went straight to the house!
“Great Family Vacation at Cougar's Tree House”
The cabin was clean and cozy. Our kids enjoyed the hot tub. The beds were comfortable. There was a lot of snow which make the trip more enjoyable. We went tubing with the kids and everyone had a great time. We built a fire every night and placed board games. I would recommend this facility to anyone. It was like a home away from home.
“Great little cabin with hot tub”
Cabin is cute and clean. Location is great. Needs some updating. Soft tub jacuzzi was hot and ready for use upon arrival.
Great cabin, owner is wonderful to work with, we had a wonderful time, fully stocked cabin, hot tub was awesome
Nothing but good things to say about this cabin. Fantastic location, nice view from the porch. Comfortable all around. Plenty of towels and extra blankets. This cabin had everything we needed for a great weekend to relax. The Jacuzzi was the perfect size. Would definitely stay here again. The owner is very nice as well :)
“Great Place to Stay”
My friends and I have stayed here 3 or 4 times now for our snowboard trips in the past 6 years. The tree house can easily accommodate 6 adults and is fairly close to the mountain. I would definitely recommend staying here. Plus the owner is great to work with.
“Cougars treehouse vacation”
My son and I had an enjoyable stay in Big Bear with a wonderful time on the ski slopes and a cosy and happy time in our perfect cabin at Cougars Treehouse. Lawrence was extremely helpful and we had a perfect vacation . We would recommend anyone stay in this fine home. Regards Bobby and Casey Darroll
“Beautifull Vacation Cabin”
My wife and I rented this cabin for our anniversary vacation. We had a few friends up to celebrate with us and everyone had a wonderful time. The cabin is decorated beautifully and well stocked with every kitchen implement you will need to create any meal. There are even recipe books full of ideas. The bedrooms are roomy and there is plenty of linen provided for the very comfortable Queen beds. The fireplace was my wife's favorite amenity and we spent hours at night cuddling on the couch in front of a nice fire. The view from the front patio are awesome and include both Big Bear and Snow Summit Ski Resorts. The only draw back is the very tight parking, the cabin advertises parking for 3 vehicles but we found that if you have full sized pick-up trucks you will only be able to fit 2 of them in the driveway. The good news is that there is parking available on Moonridge Road within a short walk to the cabin. The Bear Belly Deli is also within walking distance and has pretty good chili and great sandwiches but any other supplies will require a vehicle trip. Other nearby attractions include the Moonridge animal Park and Snow Summit Ski Resort.
“Cougar's Tree House - Great Deal!!!”
My family and I (4 of us) have stayed at Cougar's Tree House several times and will certainly be coming back. It has a cozy rustic cabin feel with plenty of room for the kids to run around and play. The cabin is clean and has all the amenities you need, plus a hot tub that is great after a day of skiing. I highly recommend the cabin for any family looking for getaway from the suburban life.
“Charming Cabin Close to Everything!”
Cougar's Tree House is a cozy, comfortable cabin. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
