“Lovely Home--a few issues however”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2014

We just returned from a week at Casa Lasata with my family of four. This was our first time to the area and enjoyed our vacation. On the positive--this house was a perfect layout. My two children (22 & 25) had the lower bedrooms and we were far enough away in the beautiful master if they came or went at different hours and we didnt wake them early. The living area is arranged in the middle. Could not have been better. Beautiful stonework in the bathrooms--just lovely. The furnishings are comfortable, yet not so fancy you dont want to sit down. The perfect and quiet beach was two very short blocks. Town was maybe 10 minutes or so. One can grab a taxi right as you exit Fase I very easily. We used the Collectivos to get around, on Calle 2 Norte. Perfect. The pool was just the right size. Negatives--I was very disappointed that there was not whole house air conditioning. This is not clear in the advertisement, and it was my main criteria. Simply too hot in June without it. My family unfortunately had to retreat to bedrooms just to cool off. Additionally, June 2014, there was construction both in front and in back of the house. And we were told they wouldnt be renting for awhile because of it. I only wish I had known in advance. It was so loud with cutting stone, we couldnt use the terrace or patio during working hours--and in Mexico, they work until 7:30 - 8 pm. A few other small things, the jets only work a couple hours a day--never once when we were using the pool. No "house book" for guests with instructions or recommendations, and we didnt see the property manager until mid-week. Also, be aware with PayPal 5% is charged on everything, even the security deposit. So, some positives and negatives. The price was very good and we tried to ignore the negatives and have a lovely vacation. If you are thinking of renting, check on construction and be aware of the air conditioning. So, I would recommend with caveats.

“Location, location, location”

Reviewed 20 Mar 2014

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Lasata. The property Manager, Patricio, greeted us within the first day and provided knowledge about the house and area. We found the location to be perfect: close to town and one block from the beach. The villa was laid out perfectly for 3 couples and provided a great experience. The landscaping and greenery is terrific however, in March the pool doesn't get much sun and is cool. That was the only thing we saw as a small drawback with the property. The rental experience through Flipkey was very positive. I would not hesitate to recommend this property for couples, girls trips and families; it provides good amenities and a great value.

“Casa Lasata provided us with a very relaxing and comfortable vac”

Reviewed 26 Feb 2014

We were really looking forward to our stay at Casa Lasata and it met all our expectations. Everything was there that was needed to make our vacation relaxing and enjoyable. We prepared most of our meals at the Casa and there was nothing missing that we needed. The home is in a great location for both the beach and for walks into town which meant short walks for both. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all spacious and very clean as well as the entire home. Much time was spent on the spacious upper patio and around the pool. Patricio, the property manager, is very nice and stopped by a couple of times to check in with us to see how we were doing. He was very informative and responded quickly to all our inquiries before our trip and had the casa set to go when we arrived. We would definitely book Casa Lasata with Flipkey again.

“A great place to unwind, relax...”

Reviewed 25 Feb 2014

Upon arrival- Casa Lasata is exactly like the photos- It is big, welcoming, and clean. We came for BPM festival and to relax- if that is possible.. Well, it is possible when you are staying in Playa Car Phase 1. You can walk into the the middle of playa del carmen- where the action is in 15 minutes, or 5min taxi to dance, music and loads of people, but then escape to your own private villa, and beach that is only 2 very small blocks away from your doorstep- if you had to wait for an elevator, walk thru your hotel, and walk to beach it would take the same amount of time to get to the beach from a hotel room as it does from Casa Lasata's door to the beach. Playa Car Phase 1's beach is beautiful, clean- white powder sand. There is even a tiny mayan ruin to visit and pass by as you walk through playa car phase 1. There is a Walmart that is $10 taxi ride away for you to buy everything you need to stock up your kitchen. All and all, I would reccommend Casa Lasata to anyone - Mexican villa style, with great big open showers in each bathroom, in every bedroom. Comfort, Clean, and Quiet.

“Tropical, comfortable, well maintained and beautiful.”

Reviewed 21 Feb 2014

Casa LaSata is a beautiful home with a tropical feel walking distance to the most beautiful beach in the world! The host and service personnel were truly amazing, polite and accommodating. A special thanks to Patricio for being so awesome during our stay. Stores, restaurants and the ferry to Cozumel are all walking distance from Casa Lasata. You can even take a short cut through the jungle on a marked path to down town. We had a fantastic time in Playa del Carmen and we will be back! Remember to bring a good insect repellent and sun block! Louie and Paula Delgadillo and Curtis and Kymm arbiso.

“Excelentes vacaciones a unos metros de la playa”

Reviewed 8 Jan 2014

La casa esta en magnificas condiciones y a solo unos pasos de la playa, tiene todo lo que necesitas para estar por una temporada sin problemas. Lo que mas me gusto es la tranquilidad y ubicacion de la casa, lo que menos me gusto fue que la piscina estaba pequeña y fria.

“Casa Lasata is absolutely the best in Playa del Carmen.”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2013

Absolutely the best accommadations in Playa DEL Carmen. We arrived in the middle of May 2013 to this cozy welcoming traditional Mexican beautiful Casa in the most magnificent location in a gated community and two short blocks to the cleanest white sand and blue water beach in Playa. The owners of Casa Lasata have thought of everything and had all the modern amenities to make our stay so comfortable. The location is perfect because it is in a private gated community but just a beautiful short walk to all the day and nightlife you could dream of - shopping of all kinds, restaurants, architectural sights, beach bars and amazing activities. We were fortunate to be in Playa del Carmen for the sand sculpture contest. - wow what artists! Waking up in the morning and having coffee, walking the beach, picking up shells, wadding in the Caribbean and people watching started our day. We ended our day many times with a glass of wine on the beach viewing the moon shining on the water and white sand while the clouds passed by. Just magical! Since we were there for 2 weeks, we were able to explore many fishing villages, Escret, jewelry stores, Mayan ruins, bird sanctuaries and amazing food - especially fresh shrimp! After a busy day, we loved coming back and jumping into the nice cool deep pool at Casa Lasata. Ah - so refreshing! Then a nice barbeque and Yeah! - Life is Good! I am so glad we were not in an all-inclusive hotel, since the Casa Lasata provided us with all the space, relaxation and all the comforts of Home. Thank you owners for thinking of everything!

“Very nice stay”

Reviewed 17 Jul 2013

I had the pleasure to stay in this beautiful little house in Playa Del Carmen and was thrilled to see it was only footsteps away from the beach. The house itself is beautiful and very well upkept, we had everything that we needed and could not have been happier.

“Beautiful house right next to the beach”

Reviewed 17 Jul 2013

We are satisfied with the accommodation. The house was well kept and it has an excellent location (minutes walking distance from the beach). It is located in a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood overlooking the ocean. What I liked in particular is the fact that is private but not distant from all the stores and restaurants. Overall we had a great time, looking forward to come back next year. The service was excellent, easy check in and very friendly welcoming. We are eager to go back in our paradise home...
