“Wonderful holiday home”

Reviewed 13 Jul 2015

Thanks very much for providing such an excellent property. You had thought of everything and we wanted for nothing. Very comfortable and easy to live in. Lovely area and lots to do and see.

The reviews are very much appreciated by us and all the members of our team. We would love to welcome you as our guest again in the future at Riverain or any of our other properties. “Definately a 5* property with all the trimmings”

Reviewed 19 May 2015

Thank you Christine and Jilly we had a great time at Riverain, everything was 5 star including the welcome hamper. The position 10 minutes from Penrith was perfect for us all, 3 travelled by train from Glasgow, 1 by car from Harrogate and myself from Cheshire all taking 2 hour door to door. We all take turns of booking a 6 monthly girls away trip and have been as far afield as Dubai and last year had 2 trips to lodges at Gleneagles, Riverain was given top marks by us all.Everything we needed was there and ithe kitchen was so well equipped, including nice sharp knives which is usually a problem in holiday homes. We loved the wood burner and how great to have a constant supply of really nice dry logs,. We all agree a great venue and great property we will be back.

Response from the manager Hi, Thank you so much for taking your time to write this review on Riverain. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Penrith is a good central point for a lot of destinations. We would love to be able to welcome you all back again as our guests either at Riverain or one of our other properties. We look forward to hearing from you, thanks again Charlie, Christine and Jilly

“Perfect. Stunning location & 5* accomdation.”

From the moment we arrived until the day we left we thoroughly enjoyed our stay everything was catered for. It is a beautiful location & perfect for a weekend break in the lakes. The log burner was very welcome after long days walking in Keswick & Ullswater. We took our Labrador with us & the garden was great very secure. Fabulous location, we can't wait to go back.

Response from the manager Hi Thank you for taking to leave a time after your visit to Riverain. We appreciate the feedback and agree that having a great supply of logs and an open wood burning fire at Riverain is a real treat after a day out on the fells! Best regards, Christine, Charlie and Jilly

“Cute, quiet and comfortable with beautiful views”

My family and I stayed in this cottage for several days while we vacationed/visted friends in and around Carlisle and the Lake District Park. Although the cottage dates back to 1700s, everything inside is new and completely modern and comfortable. Our two kids enjoyed playing in the gardens and around a little stream. My husband likes to grill and used the Weber BBQ grill a couple nights and another evening we drove to the Boot and Shoe pub (very nice) in Greystoke. You could walk to the pub but it was rather late and our kids were getting tired. We spent a lot of time at the pool in Greystoke where their pool is refurbished. Admission was free with vouchers at the cottage. We had a nice big fire each night and the adults enjoyed a glass of wine. Very pretty decor, bathrooms all new. We would definitely stay at this location again if back in the area.
