Description

This studio apartment with private balcony and private entrance is located in Nayabazar (Near Thamel) of Kathmandu. The apartment has got double-bed, 1 private bath (solar-heated shower and toilet), 1 clothes closet, 1 fully furnished kitchenette with sink, small refrigerator, cabinet space, and 1-burner stove. Perfect for single person but couple have lived comfortably several time.

The studio apartment is just 7 mints walk north of Thamel (tourist center), which is a nice place to hang around. Even though it is in easy access from everything, it is off the main road. It is located in the residential area with relatives' houses in the neighborhood. It is in the top floor of the 3 storied building with private balcony garden.

House rules

This is simple house in residential area with relatives and extended families living around. So it is not appropriate for partying. We prefer as fewer visitors as possible. Tenant need to inform us if any day they are having visitors as we don't allow strangers.

Response from the owner Thanks for staying with us. We will try to correct whatever we can. Sorry the kids in the neighborhood had holiday for season break and we also has relatives visiting over one day. We have mentioned in our description as well as in corespondent email that this is not apartment hotel but a local residential area with families living around. So this is more a place to live like local. Regarding the dust, Kathmandu is going through transition and there is digging going on for pipeline, road widening and demolition rebuilding after earthquake. Municipality tried to poison street dogs in Kathmandu and the number reduced from 30,000 to 25,000 /- But people couldn't tolerate the painful death of any creature and the campaign was aborted in the middle. Now they are trying to neuter female dogs which is very slow process but human. Thanks and hope you see you again as the transition will be over soon and Kathmandu is going to be much better place.

Response from the owner Thanks for staying with us, appreciation and the review making things much clearer for future clients. Regarding the road crossing, traffic is crazy everywhere in Kathmandu. There is a nice vehicle free backstreet to get to Thamel from the home. You come to a point where there is Zebra crossing and a traffic policeman managing traffic. Normally we organize a familiarization walk explaining everything and showing them best place to eat, visit and showing them ways. But you have been here before and you were with your Nepalese friends most of the time. Also as you know they have just widened the road in Sorakhutte, they will also have convenient overhead crossing in future. So I am hopeful that things will get much better and convenient in future and also hope to see you again.
