Welcome to The Victorian Barn, your family friendly getaway set in the stunning surroundings of rural Dorset.
Set in 65 acres of picturesque countryside, our accommodation boasts beautiful barn conversions, cottages and lodges nestled in the heart of the scenic Thomas Hardy country.
The Victorian Barns spacious self-catering accommodation is perfect for any occasion, from mini-breaks, to family holidays, we can help make your occasion one to remember!
With the historic Jurassic Coast just thirty minutes’ away and lots of lovely local pubs and restaurants there is plenty to explore when you book your stay at The Victorian Barn.
We welcome bookings of all shapes and sizes. With wonderful outside space, and superb leisure facilities, your stay promises to be as fun-filled, or relaxed as you desire. With a heated indoor pool, games room, activity suite, fishing lakes and an outdoor play area for the kids, we have something for everyone during your stay. We also have ample free parking, EV Charger and complimentary unlimited WiFi for those who want to be connected.
The Granary is a spacious barn conversion within The Victorian Barn originally built in 1849 and converted from a Victorian Granary in 2009 comprising of two ensuite bedrooms sleeping up to five guests.
The ground floor features an open plan lounge with 40" SMART TV, dining area and kitchen plus a ground floor shower room & WC.
The Granary features unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi for those who want to stay connected.
First Floor
One double ensuite bedroom (two guests) with blackout blinds and blackout curtains. Space for a cot.
One triple ensuite bedroom (three guests) with quirky sloping ceiling, Velux window and blackout blinds.
Two ensuite high pressure shower rooms with heated towel rails, wash hand basins & WCs.
Our bedrooms boast comfortable memory foam mattresses with plush pillows and duvets (non feather), compact TVs, fitted wardrobes, dressing tables, bedside tables & full length mirrors.
Ground Floor
Open plan ground floor.
Stable door opening into the kitchen from outside. Fully equipped kitchen with double oven and ceramic hob, dishwasher, under counter fridge and under counter freezer. The kitchen offers a farmhouse dining table with comfortable seating for 5.
Spacious lounge area with plush leather sofas, coffee tables and wall mounted 40” Smart TV. The lounge has a door leading onto the sunny patio.
There is also a high pressure shower room with heated towel rails, wash hand basin & WC, leading off from the lounge area.
Outdoor Area
The Granary features a large patio area with picnic furniture, perfect for dining alfresco!
Nearby open plan lush green lawn for outdoor fun and play or to just breath in the fresh countryside air and to relax upon.
For guests convenience this property also benefits from an outdoor drying line.

“Excellent!”
Excellent accommodation, clean and spacious with a luxuriously warm indoor pool on site. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
