“A wonderful week”

Reviewed 1 Aug 2013

We really enjoyed staying at the Coach house. It was a beautiful, peaceful place which afforded us the chance to have some peace and quiet. As it is 5 miles up a single track road, it was easy to escape the busyness of the world outside. The house is beautifully furnished, with lots of luxurious touches which helped to make the week very special.

“Relaxing getaway...”

Highland Coach House is a superb dog friendly self catering cottage. The peace and tranquility and location is great for exploring the Highlands. The wild garden is enormous and there are lots of lovely walks in the area. The furnishings are all very tasteful and high quality with lots of lovely little touches throughout. Also, great for a moon walk under the stars, it really is a very special and beautiful place we can't wait to return too.

“Lovely romantic escape, tranquil and luxurious.”

The coach house is lovely. Loads of attention to detail, lovely for us to retreat to. Everything we needed was there. Enormous bed, even an honesty bar and roaring fire in a beautiful setting. Perfect for a romantic escape from the everyday.

“A hidden gem.”

My wife and I recently decided that we needed to get out of the city for a while but didnt want the hassle of airports etc. After some searching we came across the Coach House and decided to book for a week. I have to say we were a little nervous as there werent a huge number of reviews on the place, but on arrival it quickly transpired that our fears were unfounded. The house is set in the most beautiful secluded glen, and is at the start a long and quiet private road which tracks a winding mountain river. All of this is set in the backdrop of the scottish highlands!. We have three young boys and they spent almost the entire week running and cycling around the estate. They even built their own den in the forest adjacent the house! Within a day of arrival its fair to say that our stress levels had returned to 0! The accomodation itself is faultless. It looks like it has recently been completely refurbished and we couldnt quite believe our luck. Ill never forget sitting on the front lawn at night with my wife looking up at the stars with the sound of stag braying in the field behind. We will definitely make this a regular retreat and cant recommend highly enough.
