Description

We welcome you to the place where guests arrive as strangers and leave as friends. We believe in restore, relax and rejuvenate. We are situated on the beautiful West Coast of South Africa, 140km from Cape Town. Jacobs Bay is beautiful, tranquil and guests can walk down to the beach. The winters are mild with rain, but we have indoor fire places in the lounges where guests enjoy the warmth and just relaxing with a glass of wine or coffee. The nature is exceptional as we have little buck, mongoose, beautiful birds and tortoise. For the more adventurous we have the Berg River for Canoeing, fishing, ab-sailing., In Langebaan which is 20km they offer Kite surfing and fishing trips on the bay. Artist's Retreat being a B&B is ideal for the family break away, business travelers, or just people seeking solitude. We offer Wellness Therapy by trained counselor, by using Art as a medium. Art lessons are also offered in most mediums for the guests who would like to enjoy learning a different skill. The Guest house offer privacy and all rooms have their own entrance, however should you not want to go out for a meal, we are able to assist with lunch and dinner at a fee. We are close to most little towns such as Langebaan, Paternoster, Darling, all within a radius between 25 - 60km. Visit the Fossil Park, or enjoy the history of the Khoi-San at !khwathu. Feeling lazy then watch the sun set over the ocean from the deck while enjoying a nice BBQ. Whales and dolphins are sighted most months of the year.

The guests have access to two lounge areas, a billiard room, gallery, dining areas, veranda, gallery and art studio. The communal open deck has BBQ facilities and has an ocean view. Safe parking for all vehicles. Laundry service available. Day tours per arrangement.

Please note that the Rates quoted is for a room with two occupants sharing. Additional rate will be added per person. should you wish to stay a week or a month, please contact us for a better rate. Pensioners get discounted rates.

I love the fact that my guests feel at home. As I live on the premises, I am here most of the time if they need assistance, unless I need to run errands. Latest book-in time is 21:00 unless prior arranged. Check out time is 10:00am.

House rules

There is a demarcated area for smokers on the outside of the property.
If guests want to use the BBQ facility, they are to make sure that the fire is out before leaving the area.
Although we assist families with accommodation, there are no play areas.
Pool table for use with adults present.
No drunk & disorderly guests will be tolerated. They will be put off the premises.
The Biodiversity of the area is sensitive so guests are to make sure that they use bins for rubbish, cigarette butts.
