Description

Mountain Top retreat in a natural rhododendron and azelea garden located north of Abingdon atop Clinch Mountain on 100 acres with spectacular views of three states. Fantastic spring blooms and wonderful leaf viewing in the fall. Borders and overlooks the 4,800 acre Channels State Forest. The Brumley Mountain Hiking Trail crosses the property, with access to the Channels, a unique rock formation on top of Clinch Mountain that is a popular hiking destination. The property is listed on the Virginia Birding and wildlife trail, with abundant wildlife and excellent birding. Raven Ridge is located just off the Trans America 76 cross county bike route.

The Lodge has two bedrooms with queen beds and a couch that converts to a full bed in the living area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a six burner deluxe range. The marble tiled bath includes a claw foot bathtub. There is an outside hot tub available year round. Heat is provided by a soapstone wood stove with glass doors. Numerous porches are great for viewing the scenery or just lounging around.

Raven Ridge Lodge is located on the top of Clinch Mountain, near the community of Hayters Gap, north of the town of Abingdon, and southwest of Lebanon.

A two night stay is required for the weekends only. Sorry, but due to the allergies of some of our gurests, pets are not allowed at Raven Ridge .

Response from the owner I am glad you folks enjoyed your stay at Raven Ridge. I do my best to keep the access road in good shape. It may seem a little daunting if you are not used to the steep mountain roads in our area, but I have not had any of my guests who actually had problems with it. I have a little Geo Metro that I take up to Raven Ridge all the time. I do recommend a 4 wheel drive if snow is likely, otherwise any vehicle should be able drive up.

How do damage deposits work?

If William (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
