“Villa Mexicana is my little place of heaven”

Reviewed 20 May 2015

We visited the Villa a number of years (approx. 14) ago and had a super holiday so had a good idea of what to expect. We weren't disappointed. The villa is fantastic and has seen many additions over the years since our previous stay including the road being made up from the road to the villa. The addition of the lounge is wonderful and is a super space to relax with the view over the pool. The outside area is great with a variety of spaces to lounge about in the sunshine including the roof deck. The facilities are excellent. The only thing missing is an oven/grill but we managed fine with the microwave and outside BBQ. The only downside was with the weather being as hot as it was a couple of us struggled to sleep at night as there isn't any air conditioning, but what do you except from a traditional Spanish villa. A wonderful 10 days stay and I am sure we wont be leaving at as long for our next visit.

“Perfect Villa!”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2014

A beautifully presented villa in a perfect location for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We stayed at Villa Mexicana as a family of four and enjoyed every single minute! Ken and Esther are excellent owners of this immaculate villa. They both have great knowledge of the local area which ensures an amazing holiday experience. We have stayed in many villas throughout Europe but never at the same place twice. Villa Mexicana is so adorable, we shall be back! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

“Relaxing base for a great holiday”

Reviewed 31 Mar 2014

This beautiful villa is situated in stunning countryside and close to charming spanish hillside villages and the wonderful coastline. The villa is immaculate, with everything you need for cooking and relaxing. Our teenage sons loved the pool and using the outside BBQ/oven and eating area. Ken and Esther are really friendly and signposted us to lots of interesting landmarks and walks. We would all definately go back and I would thoughly recommend it families, and couples looking for peace and quiet.

“Complete Relaxation”

Reviewed 3 Oct 2013

When I found this villa I said it was the villa of my dreams. It's completely private, very peaceful and within hours I feel completely relaxed. You're not overlooked by others villas or disturbed which is important to us. The owner, Ken was very helpful to all my initial questions, and although the villa is quite remote the directions on how to find it where excellent. We've visited the villa twice now and each time we've barely left it's confines just to stock up on supplies. We've met Ken and his family several times when they've come to the villa for cleaning etc and they are exceptionally nice and we've not felt like we've had to leave whilst they are there. Although a 3 bedroom villa, we don't feel lost as there is just the 2 of us and have never wanted for anything whilst we've been there. If you want peace, quiet and total relaxation this is the place - we'll be going back again!

“Four visits and more to come”

Alison & Ray UK Review Submitted: June 4, 2011 Date of Stay: October 2010 We've been coming here since 2004 and intend returning in 2012. Everything is as described, everytrhing is clean and well maintained. The location is excellent - secluded, good views and easy access to the restaurants in Torrox, Frigiliana and even Nerja. Drives up to Competa and Lac Vinuela are delightful and the coast from Torre del Mar up to La Herradura is within easy reach. The best restaurants locally are El Figon in Torrox Pueblo and Los Caracoles halfway to Frigiliana over the hills, also Costa del Sol on the coast going east from Torrox Costa. We really love "mooching about" in Frigiliana where the story of trhe three cultures is told via ceramic plaques on a well marked walk. All-in-all a wonderful hideaway holiday home in a beautiful location. Thankyou.

“I have stayed at Villa Mexicana a couple of times and will defin”

Reviewed 27 Aug 2013

This is a lovely villa set in the mountains of Spain, and yet only a short drive to the coast - the views are wonderful. If you want to experience the 'real' Spain, this villa is perfect. It is very private and easily accessable from the main routes by car. Local villages, Frigiliana and Torrox are lovely villages for daytime or evening visits. The villa itself is clean and comfortable and the service from Ken and his wife Esther is exceptional - they also call in a couple of times during the week to clean the pool and ensure everything is ok. I would highly recommend Villa Mexicana and would definitely stay there again.

“Very nice stay at Villa Mexicana”

Reviewed 25 Aug 2013

We spent a great time at Villa la Mexicana! It's a simple yet special place where we felt home at once. Our memories are still very vivid: the quietness, the beautiful views, the charming gardens (and the delicious figs...) the laughs of our children playing in the fresh pool. Everything was simply perfect. Thanks again for your friendliness Ken and Esther, we would be delighted to come back
