We stayed for 7 nights at the Casa due Torri villa in Vicopisano. Marie and Lorenzo were absolutely fantastic! We could not have asked for a better stay. We very much enjoyed the small intimate village but also the close proximity to city life of Pisa. The villa was perfect for the 2 of us but would also accommodate a family of 4 easily. The location is great for branching off to see different cities and villages as it is centrally located in Tuscany. The train ride to Florence was quick and easy and highly recommended to fit into your holiday. The cities of Pisa and Lucca are a quick drive away as well! We do not have one complaint from our week long get away and we hope you will enjoy your holiday at Casa due Torri, too!
“A well positioned house and lovely, welcoming people”
The house is beautifully kept and furnished, exactly as shown on the website, and provided an excellent base to visit Florence, Pisa and the surrounding area. We enjoyed being in the village, away from the tourist areas and experiencing the 'real'Italy. Marie and Lorenzo were there to greet us when we arrived and were very welcoming. They are passionate about the area and gave us lots of helpful advice and suggestions of where to eat and visit. We would definitely return.
Response from the owner Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for Casa Colomba we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. You are right here in Vicopisano is the 'real Italy' away from the more beaten tourist tracks but yet close to all the must see sights like Pisa, Lucca and Florence. It was lovely to meet you and we look forward to welcoming you back to Casa Colomba in the future. Kindest regards Marie & Lorenzo
“Excellence is an understatement!”
If you are planning a trip to the area I would highly recommend staying at Casa Due Torri! We recently spent three nights there with a family of four. Due to airline issues, our trip was cut a day short in the beginning. Once we arrived we were graciously met by Marie & Lorenzo. They were fabulous! Instantly, we fell in love with them, the apartment and the quaint area. We quickly decided we wanted to extend our stay an extra night. Marie was very accommodating by granting our request. I can't say enough about it! It was perfection down to the most minute detail! Wi fi, fresh fruit, sparkling wine and water! Unlike most websites, this was exactly as described! Stunning views and comfortable, clean living space. We crammed as much as we possibly could in the short time we were there. Pisa was the closest attraction we visited, only about a half hour drive. It was surprisingly magnificent! A must see while you are there! Vicoposano gave us a real feel for a true italian experience. Unbelievable in every way! Marie and Lorenzo were always available to answer questions and make suggestions for sight seeing and local restaurants. Local fare was out of this world! For an experience that will not soon be forgotten, visit Marie & Lorenzo at Casa Due Torri! You will be glad you did! We can't wait to go back!
Response from the owner Dear J& S Thank you for taking the time to write us a review for casa Due Torri. It was so lovely to meet you and your family and we are so happy you managed to have a wonderful stay despite the fact that you lost a day of your holiday through a flight cancellation. We are so happy that we could be of help and it was wonderful to hear you enjoyed our recommendations and you had fun exploring the area. It was great to hear you refer to Pisa as “surprisingly magnificent” It is a lovely city which is to be explored much more beyond the Tower! We hope you will come back and visit soon and that next time you can stay a little longer. Warmest regards Marie & Lorenzo
“Little Jewel in beautiful tuscan Medieval Village”
Casa Due Torri is a lovely house well positioned in the delightful village of Vicopisano. Perfectly situated for easy transit from Pisa airport and to enjoy days out in the beautiful city of Florence, delightful town of Lucca and easy access to Southern Tuscany. The service provided by Marie & Lorenzo is excellent, making booking, payment, arrival etc stress free. The information provided about the house, village, activities, days out is extremely comprehensive and the best I've seen in nearly 30 years of self-catering accommodation! Everyone we met in the locality was friendly and helpful and we were treated like regulars at bars/restaurants. We hired a car but it would be perfectly easy to use public transport and in fact we took a train to Florence from a nearby rail station. The house itself is furnished well and spacious - particularly lovely to have two terraces off the bedrooms. Wonderful walks in the locality and local markets excellent. If like us you enjoy being somewhere relatively tourist free, then Casa Due Torri's for you!
Response from the owner Dear Caroline and Hannah Thank you so much for your kind and informative review. We are so pleased you enjoyed discovering our “little Jewel” It was wonderful to hear you enjoyed the hospitality of the village and that you found Casa Due Torri ideally situated. Thank you for your kind words regarding our pre - arrival service and follow up information which we offer to all our guests. It is so important for us to know that our guests feel at home as soon as they arrive and that they have enough information to get out and explore immediately, which we know you both did! We hope you visit us again soon and that you choose Casa Due Torri as your home in Tuscany. Kindest regards Marie & Lorenzo
My boyfriend & I were only in Tuscany for 3 days; however we had an amazing time & we owe a lot of that to Marie & Lorenzo. They were very hospitable and helpful in recommending places to explore & eat. Our favorite restaurant was La Grotta in Buti & we enjoyed the scenic drive to Volterra. We also enjoyed watching the sunset at the Sunset Cafe in Marina di Pisa. Casa due Torri really lives up to its name in that it is very charming & had such beautiful views of the village and countryside surrounding Vicopisano. We will definitely be returning to Tuscany and Casa due Torri.
Response from the owner Lorenzo and I would just like to say a big thank you for choosing Casa Due Torri for your recent stay in Tuscany and for your kind words regarding Casa Due Torri. It was lovely to meet you both and we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay and that you managed to fit in so much during your short stay with us, you really did experience some of our favourite places! We look forward to welcoming you again in the near future so you can experience just a little bit more of our special part of Tuscany! Warmest regards Marie & lorenzo
