“Island life at its best”
This review is a little late but hope it will help someone in planning a trip here. My wife and I stayed at the dreamer beach house for two weeks in March. From airport pick-up to the drop off everything went perfectly. Lynn does a fantastic job of organizing all of the particulars. If peace and quiet is what you're looking for this is the spot. This and snorkeling is what our trip was all about. The reef is right at the shore and teaming with life. The house is beautiful and has all the goodies. The water was warm and had 4 or 5 different colors of blue. Yea, yea... great reef, great house, great water.....I know you have heard it all before but this place had something very, very special ---- Alex and Anke. These two people made this vacation all come together. Alex was our main mode of transportation and had all the answers to our questions. There was nothing he would not do for us. From borrowing a hammock and a beer butt chicken bracket, to a tour of his home. His wife Anke has to be one of the hardest working people. Always on the go. Due to her working schedule, we only had limited time with her. But she is very kind and a joy to be around. We were invited to a cook-out with their family (three great kids) on Water Cay. Then on the day of our departure Alex gave us a hand made going away gift. All the family had written a little note on the gift. Lynn has selected a great place on the South shore of Utila but her choice of Alex and Anke was even better.
“It doesn't get any better then this!”
We took a girlie trip during one summer for a week. It was outta this world. Pack beach apparel, toothbrush and personal items. Don't forget the sunscreen! Sit on he porch and watch the waves, lounge in the ocean, snorkel at the reef right out the front door. Inhale the fresh air and quietness. Life is truly tranquil. Visit the Jade Seahorse in Utila, awesome! Go over to the Cays, have the best lobster ever, or stay at the house and walk the beach! Enjoy your time in paradise, it is ever so hard to leave! The owner Lynn is fabulous ! She will answer all your questions.
“Alittle Slice of Heaven”
From the time my husband and I were picked up from airport to the end of our stay it was great! I've been to many islands but none as relaxing and beautiful as this Utila Dreamer Beach House in Honduras. If you want paradise without the crowds of Tourist, this is the place to go. Absolutely loved the snorkeling , was like looking into another world. Aquatic life was abundant, the views from the porch were insane!!! Just so beautiful. My husband did a lot of day fishing and night fishing in which we dined on YellowTail and Tuna...sooo good . Fresh caught lobster was available from a local fishermen. Lynn was especially helpful and answered all our questions prior which made our stay one of the best vacations to date. Highly reccomend:) I
If you love the Caribbean, but hate the crowds, this is the place for you. It's a little harder to get to and lacks some of the creature comforts of the big resorts, but the trade off is well worth it. Lynn is really helpful in planning your itinerary. The house is clean, roomy, comfortable, well equipped and literally feet from the water. You can kayak to several uninhabited islands and the charming Utila Cays. There's an awesome coral reef for snorkeling right in front of the house and miles of gorgeous shoreline to meander along. We'll definitely be back!
