“Comfortable apartment in convenient, noisy location”
This is a very attractive, comfortable, clean, well-stocked apartment. It's a great, old building with some tiles along the stairway, beautiful, big windows, interesting architectural details, and good-sized, airy rooms. Nice beds with cotton-covered down duvets. WiFi worked well. Two bathrooms! What a luxury. We felt very safe. The view of the small park with a church at the end was wonderful and entertaining. Very convenient location. We loved picking up breakfast-makings near by, cheese from the Time Out Market and orange juice squeezed on the spot from the small kiosk just outside the door. Praca Sao Paulo, the square in front of the apartment, is a very popular partying spot, which meant constant, loud noise ALL night (still going strong at 4:30 AM on Sunday morn.). We also would have appreciated better orientation information from the managers. There is a drawer of fliers left from previous renters, but some suggestions for good restaurants, breakfast cafes, and interesting sites nearby would have been very helpful. (We were simply told that tastes are too different to make suggestions.) We also had a hard time communicating with the manager to finalize our arrival plans. I would recommend this rental with the warning that it is very noisy at night, a trade-off to be weighed against a convenient location.

“Excellent Location - Very Spacious”
A group of 6 of us (3 newlywed couples) stayed in this unit for 3 nights in May 2015. The location was perfect, with Cais do Sodre station and market just a couple of blocks away, Pink Street just around the corner, restaurants/cafe downstairs, and a grocery store right across the street. The apartment is very spacious and nicely decorated, with 3 bedrooms, a living room, and a large kitchen with a dining area. The bed my husband and I slept in was comfortable, and although I haven't asked my friends about their beds, I didn't hear any complaints from them about the other rooms. All the appliances were in great working order and we were lucky to have the washer and dryer at our disposal. There were two bathrooms, one full and one 3/4, that came in handy since there were 6 of us. The only issue was that the hot water ran out after 4 people showered in the morning, so the other 2 were left with cold water. As the building is older, this was to be expected and we easily solved this by staggering the showers between morning and night. I cannot say enough good things about the hosts. They were so accommodating from our odd arrival time/late departure to all the recommendations given for sights to see, places to eat, fado bars, etc. They left a welcome bottle of wine for us too. The host was so gracious she even set up reservations for us at a local Goan (Indian) restaurant after we told her that one person in our party was particularly interested in trying a Goan restaurant while in Lisbon. That meal ended up being the best one during our trip, and the restaurant chef catered to us personally. What a lovely experience! Also, payment was easy as we made our deposit via paypal and paid the remainder of the amount due in cash upon arrival. I would stay here again if I end up taking another trip to Lisbon.
We had a wonderful stay here in June. The apartment was superb. Very clean and nicely furnished with everything you could possibly need. It was only a few minutes walk to the centre of Lisbon. The owners were very accommodating. Allowing us to leave our luggage prior to check in as we arrived in Lisbon early morning. The lovely bottle of wine was a nice touch too and much appreciated. If we return to Lisbon in the future we would stay we would definitely stay here again.
“we loved it!”
Highly recommend this rental!! wonderful location, literally right around the corner from the "pink street" and a short walk to all the sights of the city we wanted to see as well as the best neighborhoods for going out at night (dinners/drinks). The apartment itself was incredibly room and furnished nicely. we loved the huge kitchen and large dining table. plenty of room for 6 adults to share an apartment. the owners are also wonderful--friendly and super helpful! Felt the warmth as if we were staying with a "friend of a friend". HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
“A beautiful and spacious renovated apartment in a perfect location, away f/ tourist crowds, but close to everything”
This 3 bedroom apartment with fabulous high ceilings and french doors was perfectly appointed in every way. We loved the feeling of early Lisbon combined with updated details at every turn. Wonderful design and taste. The location on a nice local square was great fun, overlooking the afternoon gatherings, and near the amazing indoor Portugal style "food court" in the old market….the best foods and drinks of lisbon. A must! We could walk to most of the old city, and waterfront. Susana, Sergio and Filipa were great hosts , suggesting sites to fit our family, directions and any help needed.
“Everything at your fingertips”
The apartment is beautiful with it's semi-open plan layout, high spec fittings whilst keeping the old cornices and architecture. You are in short walking distance of Cais Sodre. This is a train, bus, tram and underground hub. You can get to anywhere in the city from there including the Airport bus. A stones throw from the apartment is a market with all the fresh produce you could wish for and adjacent to the market is a food hall where there are more places to eat in a lovely calm yet busy environment. Nearby are countless restaurants but if you are feeling lazy, you can pop downstairs and turn left or grab a coffee in the square of Sao Paulo. Ideal as a base for travelling around the city or simply bringing home food to cook at your leisure. It is away from the busiest streets and offers a relaxed location. We had a lovely week with 2 young children.
“Perfect location to visit Lisbon - comfortable appartment”
My parents, my husband and I stayed in this very nice and comfortable apartment for 4 nights this last September. We really enjoyed our stay in this large and very clean place. It was close enough to many different places to visit in Lisbon and Susanna was really helpful to help us organize our day-trip to Sintra. I recommend this apartment to anyone who want to visit Lisbon and live in a nice area.
“Perfect apartment in Lisbon”
We had a great 7 day stay in the Praca Sao Paulo apartment. The apartment was exactly as depicted in the photos and was actually larger than we expected! The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and the showers were great. The location could not have been better to explore Lisbon. We had easy access to all the sights but the apartment was a quiet oasis to come home to at the end of the day. We were close to public transportation although we walked to most places. The public garage parking was convenient and we had no problem getting to the highway for our day trips. The Mercado de Ribeira was a block away and we loved the huge selection of dining options. I highly recommend this apartment as your base in Lisbon!
“Another wonderful stay (from a repeat guest)”
I stayed at one of Sergio/Susana's apartments last year and loved it so much that I made sure I stayed at their apartment again during my recent trip to Lisbon. This 3-bedroom unit was even more impressive with high ceiling and well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. It is spacious, clean and in an excellent location with the subway station and the recently opened Time Out Market (a huge food court serving all kinds of delicious food) just around the corner. We did not need to take any public transportation since most major tourist sites were within walking distance. I am a frequent traveler and can honestly say that their apartments are absolutely the best. The apartment made my trip much more enjoyable. Susana is very friendly and helpful. Great host, great apartment, great value. Highly recommended.
The apartment is well equipped, everything is new and it's clean. It's really close to Cais do sodre and others strategical points for moving with public transport. On the other hand, it's quite impossible to park a car nearby, because it's really in the center of Lisboa nighty'movida', that's why it may be noisy sometime, especially during the weekend.
