Luxury Holywood Beach Apartment

Holywood Beach Apartment is modern self catering apartment and offers the visitor a luxurious retreat with panoramic views of Belfast lough. A 15 minute drive from Belfast city centre and many local attractions within walking distance this apartment is ideal for the individual or families getaways. The coastal path from Holywood to Bangor is right outside the door so great for walking and cycling, there is also access to an all weather tennis court. The Ulster folk and Transport Museum is at the top of the road as is the 5 star Culloden Hotel. Within the Hotel is the Mitre Restaurant and in the grounds is the Cultra Inn where you can kick back, relax and enjoy the excellent food and then walk home! The train station is a 5/10 min walk and a 25 min walk takes you into Holywood, all along the shore. As you walk you can watch the wild life and look out for the odd seal popping up! Holywood has many lovely coffee shops and restaurants and also quite a few individually owned ladies clothes shops.

All in all a wonderful location for a holiday.

“Beautiful Location Close to Belfast”

Reviewed 11 Jun 2015

We stayed four nights in the apartment on a recent trip to visit family in Northern Ireland, and had a wonderful experience. The location is fantastic -- it's right on the Belfast Lough, and our kids had a great time putting on their Welly boots and playing on the rocks and tide pools. There's also a walking path along the Lough that makes for a beautiful, scenic evening stroll. You'll want a car if you stay here, we didn't see a lot to do in walking distance. The apartment itself is well-appointed also -- modern bathrooms, a huge and comfortable living/dining room (the picture doesn't do it justice), and like wifi/TV/etc. all worked well and were easy to operate. The owners were also able to provide a crib, which was very helpful. Will definitely stay here again next time we're in the area. Our only regret is we never actually made it up to the tennis court!

Response from the owner Thanks for your great review, hope to see you again

We stayed here for a 3 months while our House was being renovated in Portugal it was like home from home with every amenity on hand. The location is perfect for long walks and the beach is quite literally on the doorstep Peter and Jenny are very welcoming and on hand should you need anything Furnishings are above expectations and it is warm and very comfortable we loved our stay and as we now live in Portugal we will happily return whenever we come home to visit Strongly recommended

“Fantastic location and experience”

Reviewed 29 Dec 2013

My family stayed here in august for the World Police & Fire Games, and very much enjoyed the location and amenities. Spacious, newly appointed rooms made this apartment very luxurious and enjoyable, with plenty of room to spread out! Stunning views over the water, and a short drive to the train station. Peter was very gracious and a lovely host. Highly recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to enjoy the Belfast area.

Response from the owner We are delighted to have return visitors , and thank you for your warm words .

“A fabulous place to stay”

Reviewed 24 Oct 2013

We have just had a short break in this apartment and it is one of the most fabulous places that we have ever stayed in. We received the warmest of welcomes from Peter when we arrived quite late in the evening and was extremely helpful if we wanted anything during our stay. The apartment is very tastefully decorated and is warm, clean and spacious. It contained everything that we needed. We awoke the next morning to the sound of water lapping on the beach and looked out to a stunning unrivalled view across the lough. There is a beautiful coastal path just along the front of the house which turning left takes you along the shore past a seaside park(great for the kids) and into a gorgeous little town called Holywood, full of nice coffee shops, art galleries, boutiques etc.(I highly recommend lunch in the Bay Tree).Turn right at the apartment and you will enjoy a longer walk which takes you through Crawfordsburn Country Park, Helens Bay Beach and golf course, and on to Bangor. At any of these places there is a convenient train station and oodles of gorgeous places to eat. Our children loved it here and especially loved playing on the tennis courts at the back of the property which they had to themselves. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and we look forward to returning here. An extremely enjoyable experience.

Response from the owner Jenny& I are delighted you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again soon.

“Wonderful coastal vacation property”

Reviewed 20 Oct 2013

My family (husband and infant under 1 yr old) stayed at Holywood Beach apartments for a week in the fall. The property was warm and comfortable inside. The decor was attractive, tasteful and relaxing and everything was spotless and freshly cleaned. The property is right on the beach and there is a fantastic coastal path on which we walked all the way to the village of Holywood. The coastal scenery was beautiful. We stopped along our walk to have seafood at the Dirty Duck pub which was welcoming and delicious. Also within walking distance was the Cultra Inn where we had another fantastic meal. We also had high tea at the Culloden. Food wise, activity wise, scenery wise and comfort wise the vacation couldn't have been better! Also the property owners were very pleasant and helpful. They went out of their way to provide a crib and high chair for the baby and we're very helpful and available when we wanted to ask some questions about local attractions but were not intrusive at all during our stay. I have no reservations on recommending this vacation home, we will definitely be back again!

Response from the owner We are delighted you found the apartment relaxing ,and look forward to welcoming you again .
