Les Pourciaux Cottage is a self contained holiday rental property situated on the beautiful and unspoilt island of Alderney just off the South coast of the UK. Only 9 miles from France and approx 22 miles from Guernsey, a stay at Les Pourciaux Cottage offers peace and tranquility, the beautiful Longis Beach is a few hundred feet away and the views from the cottage are wonderful.

Getting around

A good 50% of our guests choose to walk everywhere (and maybe take the odd taxi). Given that it is rare to be anywhere where this is possible, we find quite a lot of people think this is very refreshing - slows your pace from hectic city living. The walk into town is between 45-55 minutes and to the harbour area around 35-45 minutes. If walking is not your style, you can hire a car, hire bikes (motorised or not) and take taxis (always best to pre-book taxis as if it is quiet, they don't work very late). Friendly locals will often stop to offer visitors lifts, especially if you look like you are after a lift!

Interaction with guest

We live on site and are here to help with anything at all... from "borrowing" cooking spices to, recommending a restaurant or a nice walk. However, we will leave you to your own devices most of the time so don't be afraid to ask if you want help with anything.

How do damage deposits work?
