“Great Beach Getaway!!!”

My friends and I were looking to go away for a few days in PR. I had been to Vieques once before with my fiancee and we both feel in love with the place. Since there were going to be 6 of us traveling, we all agreed to rent an apartment. I found Caso Paso Fino and we all agreed this was the place. When we arrived, we were even more impressed with it than what we had seen on their website. The views were amazing from the living but the rooftop balcony was the best. We grilled dinner almost every night, watching the sun set while drinking some beers. They had all the items we needed to grill: charcoal, grill, lighter fluid, tongs, and spatula. Actually, this is the other thing that really impressed all of us. They had everything we needed for the beach - beach chairs, beach towels, snorkel gear, and swimming floaties (even a pump to blow it up), and for the kitchen - spices, complete sets of silverware, dishes, cups, pots, pan and cooking utensils. The biggest plus was the mosquito coils they had in the apartment. This helped us tremendously with the nasty critters while we were there. Roberta, the owner, also left us a binder filled with all the information we would need while we were there. This was so informative and helpful when it came time to decide where we wanted to go, what the local eateries provided, where the bakeries were, and farmer's markets. The apartment is located a few blocks away from the local beach and restaurants. So when we went out drinking we just had to walk there and back. (Do rent a jeep as there is so much to explore on the island and there are numerous beaches all over the island). There were also books about the island that a few of my friends read. It was great learning all about the history of island and what it has to offer. The owners seemed to have thought a lot about the details a guest would need to enjoy their stay while in Vieques.

“Lovely stay at Casa Paso Fino”

A friend and I rented the first floor or this delightful house. A second group of friends took the second floor. We on the first floor had a well equipped kitchen although we only made coffee in the morning to carry up to the large roof deck to enjoy the gentle morning breeze and 360 degree view of bay and green hills. We joined our later-sleeping pals on the main floor for breakfast before heading out to pristine, practically deserted beaches (in February!) Afternoon lounging in the sparkling fresh living room (also with panoramic view) preceded a short walk to dinner downtown. I plan to return with my children and grandchildren.
