“A Clean and Comfy Home Away from Home!”
We were very excited when we arrived at this flat! The pictures don't do the space justice - it feels much larger in person! There were only two of us, but you could easily fit 4 (I believe the couch in the living room folds into a bed). It was VERY clean - which I am super picky about. It is also in a perfect location to walk to any of the major tourist attractions. The farthest thing you are away form is the castle, which still was only about a 15 minute walk down the Royal Mile. You are provided with dishes/cookware if you want to have breakfasts or meals in the apartment and there is also free wifi. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we would definitely book again on a trip back!
“All the comforts of home”
This apartment is located next to Parliament with a grocery store and 2 buses nearby that go to the further tourist attractions north of New Town and south of Old Town. The most popular attractions are walkable, most are 1/2 mile to a mile. The apartment is perfect for 2 people, modern and well-equipped. It was a pleasure to return to it each evening after seeing the sights. Edinburgh is a wonderful city to see on foot. An added bonus is a Starbucks situated a very short walk away. We became quite adept at finding shortcuts through the many closes ("alleys" ) between Holyrood and Canongate. Best wi-fi we found, other places were slow. This is an elevator building with a very helpful concierge service.
“Appartement très agréable à tous points de vue”
Cet appartement, dans un quartier calme mais néanmoins proche du centre, est particulièrement agréable et d'une propreté impeccable. Les meubles et la décoration sont de qualité, et la literie très bonne. Les pièces si souvent minuscules dans ce genre de location comme la cuisine et la salle de bains ont ici une taille tout à fait convenable. Il nous a juste manqué une couette plus légère (et oui il peut faire chaud à Edimbourg !) et quelques couverts supplémentaires...
“Great place to stay in Edinburgh!”
We stayed in this flat for a week of our honeymoon in the UK. The flat was easy to locate close to the Royal Mile. It's on the quieter end of the mile, though that also means it's all the way at the bottom of the hill, so getting most anywhere requires a walk up hill or taking the bus (which you can get in front of the flat building, or around the back and through Bulls Close to the royal mile). It's a quick walk to parliament, the Holyrood Palace, and the Holyrood Park (Arthur's Seat) entrance. There is a Tesco Express about two blocks up Holyrood, and a Pizza Express and a few other restaurants a quick walk away. The rest of Old Town is definitely walkable too. The flat has a comfy bed, good equipped kitchen, and a modern and clean bath. I found the shower a bit tricky as I was too short to feel safe when climbing in the tub (it was a bit slippery but I never actually fell). Was a bit disappointed to realize that the washer does not have a drying feature, you must air dry your clothes. In the spring wet weather this means waiting at least one full day for things to dry, two days for heavy things like denim jeans. I wish salt, pepper, sugar, and some other sundries like cooking oil and spices. The landlady did leave us a nice bottle of white wine, which unfortunately we forgot to drink! This would be a lovely flat for a couple or a young family.
Response from the manager Thanks for your feedback; this is much appreciated. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the apartment and Edinburgh, even if the hills are a but trying! Sorry to hear that your jeans took a while to dry; we can recommend a service wash at the local laundrette (Kleen Care at 7 Cowgatehead) if you prefer to have clothes ready within a few hours. We have passed your feedback about basic supplies and about a mat for the shower/bath to the owner, who has remedied this. Best regards, Martin, Vacation Rentals Scotland
“Lovely for long weekend in Edinburgh”
Lovely flat very close to the city centre. Bus stop right outside so getting around is easy. If taking a car, park at Sherriffield park and ride and get the bus into the centre. Costs 1.50 for the bus each way and you can park free for 7 days.
Response from the manager Thanks for taking the time to write a review, and your tip about the park and ride is particularly helpful. As you know, since Edinburgh is a compact city, most sights are within walking distance and there's an excellent bus service in the city. It's nice to hear of guests who have left their car at the the Sheriffhall park-and-ride car park for a few days. Best regards Martin Vacation Rentals Scotland
“Faultless and amazing experience!!”
We booked this immaculate apartment to stay a few days over the New Year Holiday and we couldn't have hoped for more. From the moment we booked it, the service we received was outstanding. We were kept informed on all details of the holiday: payments, key collection, how to get there, phone numbers to contact the owner directly... Once we arrived, we were amazed not just by the quality of the place, but the convenience of its location. It was near to the city centre but far enough to give us the peace and quietness that we were after. The apartment is located by one of the prettiest areas of Edinburgh and five minutes away from the path that leads to arthur's Seat, one of the most spectacular and recommended visits in Edinburgh. All in all, we couldn't fault our stay and we look forward to going back again soon. Xavier
“Great cosy apartment, walking distance from most attractions”
We traveled to Edinburgh for a week from 1st to 8th November 2013 with our 3.5 yr old son and stayed at The Park apartment. The apartment is very cosy and comfortable with all the required conveniences. It is located exactly opposite to Our Dynamic Earth and next to the Scottish Parliament and Holyrood Palace. The Royal Mile is literally the next street and all bus stops are within easy walking distances. We loved our stay here and look forward to coming back for sure. Thank you very much for a wonderful place to base ourselves in Edinburgh! Kavita D'silva Dubai
“Quiet and clean”
Extremely quiet and centrally located next to the scottish parliament and King arthurs seat. Comfortable Futon bed. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to come back any time.
Lovely place, great location... surprisingly, it looks better than in the pictures!!
“A luxury accommodation in the heart of Edimburgh”
We had a perfect stay in this well-furnished apartment, comfortable and well equipped, situated in the city center, nearby Holyrood Palace. The bathroom is very large and has a bathtub, and the bedroom and living room are beautifully furnished with excellent taste. A nice kitchenette completes the accommodation. We appreciated also the welcome message(with chocolates and sparkly wine)from the landlady. We really got a great value for money and had a good time in the city of Edimburgh.
