“Fantastic”

Reviewed 15 May 2014

Great place to stay! Relaxing views of marsh water-Home is immaculately clean. Dogs are treated like the true companions they are. The yard is fenced in and is huge place for your dog to roam. Kim was wonderful hostess. It is a home, not just a place to stay. Took about 30 min to beach- 20 to Charleston waterfront parks. The house has everything you need and may have left at home! My only complaint was that we did not get to stay there as much as I wanted because we were there for a college graduation. Kim also checks on the dogs if you have to leave them behind for a while and if you so desire. Can't say enough about this home. We will return!

“Great Place to Stay”

We had a great stay here last week. Rob and Kim are super hosts, the place is tranquil and quiet yet right off Rt. 17 and not too far from downtown Charleston. Big yard for the dogs to run around in, and amenities in the cabin like a fully stocked kitchen you often don't find. Highly recommend.

“Delightful spot!”

We two couples chose to stay at the Marsh Cabin for 3 nights this spring in order to have a change from the normal city hotel experience, and we were not disappointed. The views of the marsh and the waterway were outstanding, and it was so quiet during the day and night. Kim and Rob have created a cozy and comfortable spot, complete with lovely decor and great customer service. It's an easy and interesting run into Charleston, but there are also a lot of local features nearby to explore, such as the Paw Paw County Reserve, the angel Oak Restaurant, and the Firehall. The only amenity that was missing was access to wi-fi, which we've come to rely upon while travelling. We would highly recommend this location as a viable option to visitors who want to tour both Charleston and the local area. Rob and Kim have created a little piece of heaven here for sure.

“A great little gem not too far away yet feels 'away from it all'”

My family of four and our dog Bailey had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful cabin on the water. We enjoyed watching sunsets over the creek, along with coffee in the morning on the porch. We even sat out on the porch one evening with all of the lights shut off and watched a thunderstorm over the water. Kim was very welcoming and has thought of everything from soup to nuts as far as provisions for us. These owners have really brought together every small detail that would make a vacation complete for any family. The cottage was clean, comfortable and pretty, the surroundings were beautiful. Also being 20 minutes from downtown Charleston made it so easy for our daughter - a student at College of Charleston - to join us as well as enjoying the fabulous restaurants that the city has to offer. Be sure to check out the close by angel Oak Restaurant on Savannah Hwy for a great yummy meal. We will be back!

“Marsh get-a-away”

We stayed for a month in this clean, comfortable and convienent home Close to everything in this wonderful city. Rob and Kim made us feel at home including our 8 year old dog, Dolce. The setting is marvelous for bird watching - we even spotted a bald eagle !! Great sunsets also - go stay with Rob and Kim in Ravenal !!!
