“Unspoilt country meets coast in a beachside chalet of character”

Reviewed 17 Apr 2013

When we arrived, the location immediately felt fantastic - coming down the hill you see the chalet park nestled on the flank of a small sea level valley with a nature reserve running the length off it's flank, and beautiful Freshwater East beach at it's entrance. At first glance the park look part of a bygone era, but at the entrance you are greeted by a wonderful, almost Mediterranean splash of colour. Our chalet was part of this colour, just set back from the entrance. Inside, the it was a fantastic mix of country charm and coastal character, brought right up to date with fully modern facilities, practically arranged and spotlessly clean. Even though our stay coincided with one of the coldest snaps this winter, the chalet proved very cosy at all times. The weekend was spent exploding the local scenery and amenities, which I could write a separate essay about - this was such a unexpectedly good base to explore the area from, with information really available and the chalet owner superbly friendly (first rate customer service) and welling to help make our stay flawless and interesting. Given the value for money to stay in anemone chalet, we shall definitely be coming to stay again soon - hopefully the end of May bank holiday if not booked up already!

Response from the manager How lovely to hear from a guest that appreciates this area as much as we do. We are so pleased that you had a good time and found the accommodation cosy, spotlessly clean and well equipped. You will be most welcome to visit again.

“fantastic base for family beach holiday”

Reviewed 18 Mar 2013

On arrival Jenny welcomed us and it was good to catch up with her as we have stayed a few times. The appartment was clean, well equiped and covered what was needed for a family holiday home. It is a fantastic location for the beach but also to look around Pembrokeshire as a whole. There are plenty of sites i.e Pembroke Castle to amuse 2-3 year olds! Folly's Farm is a must. The best bit of staying here is the home like feeling of the appartment and the closeness to the beach. The worst bit is ending the holiday!!!

Response from the manager It was great to see you again and your lovely little one. The first time you stayed with me you were just a couple and now you have a growing family. As you have found, it's a great place for a traditional family beach holiday and also has plenty of attractions in the area to visit.

“pembroke chalet - amazing”

Reviewed 14 Mar 2013

Absolutely amazing - perfect location for beaches around pembrokeshire only a few strides from a beach with lots of other cool fun places to explore accommodation is vibrant and well kept - each appartment has its own name which makes it feel homely rather than just another property let which agsin links back to the friendly and personal approach would recommend anytime

Response from the manager Thank you. It's good to be appreciated. We look forward to seeing you again.

“Refreshingly Beautiful”

Reviewed 6 Mar 2013

My wife & I enjoyed a memorable 5 days in Freshwater Bay Holiday village. The scenery is stunning. We spent many evenings walking along the wild, untouched coastline. the accomodation was warm & cosy. We had one of the best meals ever 10 minutes drive away in a picturesq village. One of my most memorable memories from the stay(apart from surfing beautiful waves) was buying fresh eggs from a local house. We will definitely be visiting the village again

Response from the manager I'm so glad you enjoyed this accommodation and our beautiful unspoilt coastline and great surf. I look forward to seeing you again sometime.
