“Perfect Place To Stay”

Reviewed 3 Jan 2014

From the moment we entered Natasha's flat we felt at home. The apartment was stunning. Natasha was very prompt and accommodating when we arrived. She supplied us with good tips about navigating the area and New York during our 8 night stay. The neighborhood is both quiet and beautiful with every necessary convenience included. We had breakfast every morning in the apartment so we were ready to take on each day as soon as we left the apartment. We purchased our food from shops right around the corner. There is free wi-fi at the apartment, as well. Finally, the location in Lefferts Gardens is perfect. We enjoyed being so close to Park Slope as there were so many restaurants to choose from there. In walking distance from the apartment, our favorite meal was the Shrimp Parmigana at Gino's Trattoria & Brick Oven Pizza on Flatbush - yum. The apartment is really beautiful, we loved it and there was more seating than shown in the pics. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone thinking about it!

Response from the owner It was certainly a pleasure to host you and your our family. We look forward to having you stay with us again on your next trip to NYC.

“Great place, awesome host”

Reviewed 2 Oct 2013

I stayed in the apartment with my wife, mom, dad, uncle and aunt. The apartment is very good. Clean, new, everything working flawlessly, very close to the subway (aprox 2-3 min walking, aprox. 40 minutes to Times Square), nice internet. Our host, Natasha is reachable all the time. She is a very kind person, gave us lots good information and definitely made out stay a lot easier. I would recommend this to anyone (actually already recommended it to a friend who is going to NY next month).

Response from the owner Thank you so pleased you liked the apartment! This is one of the best properties I manage. The owner, the cleaning crew, the maintenance staff all take pride in what they do - combined it leads to a great experience for guests who come back again and refer others. We love hosting and we are so pleased you chose to stay with us!

“Natasha was friendly and the home was very clean”

Reviewed 7 Jun 2013

The service was very good ,Natasha was very helpful , pleasant and willing to do anything that was ask eg help with the Internet The home was clean , warm and comfortable. The location was good easy to travel to. Manhattan , many shops and walking distant to the Brooklyn botanic garden and park. I liked that the area was mixed culture everyone was very friendly. I felt very safe in the area.

Response from the owner Thank you for taking the time to share your experience in our apartment. Its always a pleasure to host. I am pleased you had a great time and enjoyed the apartment. Hope to see you again - there is so much more to see and do in New York!

“Bright and spacious apartment”

Reviewed 30 May 2013

The host, Natasha, is very sweet. She was always available and accommodating with our late arrival and early departure times. The fridge had some cold beer and drinks waiting for us. Beds were very comfortable and there was a lot of space to move around in the living room. The kitchen was equipped with a microwave oven and a kettle, instant coffee and tea were provided along with nice treats. Disposable cups, bowls, plates and cutlery were provided. The streets were a little noisy with parties on Friday evening but otherwise quiet most of the time. Finding a parking spot was a little challenging over the weekend. Easy access to the Subway, neighbourhood felt safe even coming back late in the evening. On our last day, Natasha kindly provided us with a cork screw and nice wine glasses.

“We had a great time in Brooklyn!”

Reviewed 9 May 2013

Our host, Natasha, was great - available whenever we needed her, very friendly and accommodating. The apartment was just as you see in the photos. Comfortable beds, 2 full bathrooms, lots of closet space to hang clothes and store luggage, and sunny! We were there for a wedding so had a very busy stay and we didn't spend any time there during the day. Some parts of the neighborhood look sketchy, but we came home late by subway a couple of times and felt safe enough, but wouldn't want to try it alone. No TV, but there is wi-fi if you bring your laptop. Besides, who needs TV when visiting NYC? Also, no stove to cook on, but really, who wants to cook on vacation? I would suggest a binder with a list (and neighborhood map) of the locations of markets (there is a CVS and a Key Market a couple of blocks away on Nostrand), coffee shops and good restaurants nearby. We didn't see anything close to the apartment, but we didn't take much time looking as we were busy every day. Another suggestion that would help is a supply of plates, flatware and cups to use. The location is fine if you don't have to come and go throughout the day. Walk to Prospect Park (beautiful place), but that's about it. Subway line (2/5) is close. Make sure to have a good map of the subway and you can get anywhere. There are also a lot of buses that run in the area. This apartment is on the 3rd floor, so if you can't do stairs, this is not the place for you! Also, it is not the Sheraton - there are street noises at night, but no more than any other Brooklyn neighborhood. Overall, a pleasant experience and a very pleasant host!

Response from the owner So pleased you had a great time in our vacation rentals! We also have rentals on the 1st floor, 2nd floor and garden apartment for your next trip to avoid the stairs. The 3rd floor has no-one above them so some people prefer it. Hope you get a chance to visit again and explore the neighborhood during the day - its walking distance to lots of shops and attractions, pleased you took time to discover Prospect Park. Lefferts Gardens is very charming and one of the nicest neighborhoods in Brooklyn. Like any city, you always have to be aware of your surroundings especially on the subway late at night no matter where you are. Pleased you felt safe in Brooklyn and hope you enjoyed the complimentary gift mugs. Thank you for your stay with us. It was a pleasure hosting you!

“An absolute lifesaver!”

I had planned to visit New York with some friends, but the day before our departure our accommodation fell through. Not only were we lucky enough that there was a cancellation here, but Natasha was so helpful in getting everything arranged at the last minute. She was a wonderful host and the apartment was huge! There were 6 of us and plenty of room for all of us to spread out. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who doesn't mind a few extra minutes on the subway in exchange for more space than you would expect from an apartment in New York.

“My stay was truly a 'Class act' and highly recommended!”

We loved our stay at Bkguest vacation suites. Our host Natasha greeted us and was exceptionally warm, hospitable and gracious in all our interactions and exceptionally supportive. As it was our first time booking outside of a traditional hotel we had lots of questions. Natasha was patient and always had a friendly smile and helping hand. The quality of the apartment was first class. It was spotless. We had a king size bed and this was amazing! I liked that we could travel without bringing the hair dryer, and other supplies with us as I might have expected for a vacation rental. The extras provided made us feel like we were in a hotel. We loved this part of Brooklyn, it was a very charming, quiet neighborhood but just 2 minutes from the subway and a short ride away to all the action of the city. The supermarket and take-out restaurants were a minute walk away and I loved all the fancy restaurants in Park Slope. Thank you Natasha for providing everything we needed to make our stay truly comfortable. You are outstanding.

It was our first time to stay in a apt. the apt was great, 3 rooms 2 bathroooms. we had 5 ppl, it was just perfect for us, we all liked it. the apartment was only 2 blocks away from the winthrop st station.Natasha was super nice and sweet! our flight was delayed, didnt arrive in nyc til almost midnight, she was cool to wait for us. everything was wonderful, enjoyed our stay sooo much!!

“Loved this apartment - will stay here again on my next visit to”

This is a large-ish apartment tucked away in a quiet corner of Brooklyn. You can't ask for more if you want access to Manhattan but want a break from Manhattan prices; the #2 train will take you directly from Penn Station (Amtrak) in about 20 minutes. The bed was very comfortable especially after days spent walking up one side of Manhattan and down the other. Great shower too! The space is very private but Natasha is just upstairs if you need her; she provides nice little extras like tea and snacks and even a selection of Dvds to watch (but you didn't come to NYC to watch Dvds, did you?). She can tell you all about the off-Broadway plays you might not otherwise know of and even help with tickets to getting tickets plays and museums. I felt very comfortable there.
