“Perfect in every way!”
Our family has stayed in rental properties in the US, Canada and Europe and Byron's home definitely ranks as one of the best. Not only is it clean, well-furnished and fully stocked, it's also in a prime New Orleans neighborhood, only 2 blocks to restaurants, bars and shops on Magazine Street and 4 blocks to St. Charles Avenue. Byron was a joy to deal with and we enjoyed chatting with him while sitting on the beautiful back deck and charming front porch. We can't wait to return!
“Home Sweet Home Away from Home”
Byron is the perfect host! He always accommodates our every need! This is our third stay in this home and we look forward to the next time?
“Awesome Space in an excellent location”
Our stay was excellent. It provided more than enough space for our family of four. Byron was an excellent host and made himself more than available during our stay. He recommended local eateries and activities. The townhouse was extremely spacious and nicely furnished. My husband and son made use of the backyard patio every day. There is ample kitchen space. The neighborhood is extremely quiet. My husband and I walked to the trolley at 11PM one night and felt very safe. The St Charles Streetcar line is about 5 blocks away and runs every 10 minutes. It made leaving the car behind easy. There are so many restaurants within walking distance and along the Streetcar line. If taking the trolley isn't for you the ride into the Quarter is extremely easy as well. We really enjoyed our stay and thank Byron for his hospitality!!!
Response from the owner Thanks Tharisicia!
We had booked a place close to Canal street, that fell through, in a rush to find something for 4 people and 2 baths. This place was better than we booked elsewhere. Very convenient and the price was perfect. The only thing the trolly line is being ripped up, so you have to travel part bus, then trolly, hop off hop on, but buy the pass, no driving into town, pay big parking prices. Nice also to come back at night and sit on patio and have a few drinks to uwsind.
“Great Area to stay”
very comfortable home, very nice bath and comfy beds. Easy walk to street car. Easy to feel part of the neighborhood. Good shopping and restaurants nearby. Great neighbors too. Thought we'd enjoy the backyard more but didn't end up using grill, did get a nap tho'. Would stay here again.
I have been coming to New Orleans every year for the past 30 years and stayed in all kinds of hotels and places. Byron's house was the most enjoyable stay I have ever had. The indoor and outdoor space is beautiful, newly renovated and spotlessly clean. It is only 3 blocks from the St Charles trolley, which opens the whole city for you. Thank you again Byron, we will see you again next year. Ron Rehmeyer
We stayed with two other couples. We arrived at around noon. Byron was there waiting for us.We stayed the entire week, Primarily in town for the sugar bowl but we will return for some more "Mayhem".The house was awsome very much accomidated our needs for the week. The only Improvement I could think of might be a firepit or chimnea in the back yard would have been real nice.Maybe not quite big enough for three couples for a whole week but definately would return.
“Adorable condo close to streetcar”
We rented this beautiful condo for 5 days in January and had a wonderful time walking to Magazine Street for great food and to St Charles to catch the streetcar. Within minutes you can catch the streetcar down to the French Quarter or out to the audubon Zoo. You do not need a car if you want to stay in this gorgeous family neighborhood. The home itself is spacious and perfect for a small family or two couples. Byron is a great host who is warm and welcoming, with lots of wonderful suggestions for local food and music. The condo has beautifully restored hardwood floors, a new kitchen outfitted with everything you need for cooking at home if you wish, and internet that works really well on the front porch as you watch the neighbors and their dogs stroll by. Byron went out of his way to make us feel welcome, even giving us special directions to the best Mardi Gras parades. He had a King Cake waiting for us when we arrived! We would love to stay here again next time we travel to New Orleans. If you like oysters, be sure to check out Casamentos, just a few blocks away on Magazine.
