“Beauty and Comf!”
My husband, golden retriever, and I stayed at the cabin for 1 month, and it was glorious!. Suzi is a gem, and is always concerned about our comfort and needs. It only took us a few days to decide that we want to come back next year. The cabin is comfortable and cozy and has everything one would need. Indeed, a great place to stay.
Response from the owner Renee, I'm really looking forward to your return again next! Luke and Tami will glad to see each other as well and we can hopefully get in a lot of hikes up the street. Enjoy your summer! Suzi
“A beautiful home away from home”
As we were leaving Caswell Cabin, after five glorious days in Sedona, I was thinking: "It will be hard to stay in a hotel room after staying here". Indeed, Caswell Cabin is much more than a comfortable place to stay on vacation, it is rather like a museum and a classy residence mixed together. Caswell Cabin includes a large living room/dining room/kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, porch. True to our expectations, we found everything that was advertised but, to our surprise, it surpassed all our expectations, and after five days, it still managed to surprise us with new finds. The cabin is decorated with a large number of superb objects, pieces of furniture and collectibles, together with all possible amenities, including air conditioning, fans and wifi. Let me describe it. The living/dining area has beautiful furniture with forged iron details, leather couch gorgeous carpet in Southwestern colours and design,a large screen TV, different carefully selected pieces of furniture, a bar area with leather chairs, stone tiled floors in earthy colours, interesting lamps and a whole wall of windows looking at glorious red rocks. The kitchen area has a huge refrigerator with water and ice dispensers, oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, a host of various small appliances, pots, nice dishes and tasteful cutlery, as well as coffee, tea, sugar, spices, etc. The bedrooms entice with interesting bedspreads , rustic local objects, wall decorations. I fell in love with the bronze sink in the bathroom, and of course we found plenty of towels and bath necessities. Every day we discovered other treasures decorating this peaceful oasis. A porch with tables and chairs allowed for contemplating the surrounding nature, and within the small yard we found a BBQ and a shed with washer and dryer, a welcome addition for any traveller. What we appreciated mostly though was a feeling of being home, of being welcomed, of creating a beautiful framework for our visit to Sedona. Thanks so much, Suzi!
My partner and I concluded a 2 week roadtrip with 3 days in Sedona. We were thrilled to be capping off several continuous days of camping and "roughing it" with furniched living quarters. This cabin exceeded our expectations. It's amazingly cozy, and Suzi's attention to detail in decorating and accommodating ensured that our every need was met and indulged, from the fragrant loose-leaf tea to the botanical shower wash. The front porch has a direct view of the red rocks, and access to over 20 miles of hiking trails is only 2 blocks away. Due to the numerous large windows and blinds, we were able to open the cabin up to the outside world or close it up for privacy, depending on our mood or time of day. The neighborhood is peaceful, quite, and serene. Thanks so much for the pleasant stay, Suzi!
Response from the owner Well, I have to say that you ladies were the cleanest guests that I ever had. Thanks for putting back our decorative down and cow hide pillows. Lol! Yes, we try to really welcome our guests and decorating is my thing, If I can add nice touches like Eco friendly soaps and nice linens, I am happy camper. No roughin' it in my neck of the woods. The cabin is beautifully placed in one of the best areas because you have movies and groceries 1/4 mile away and red rock hiking one block (not 2 as Tiffany was describing :-) Please come back soon! Suzi
“Calm and Serene”
This is the perfect spot to get away from the noise and bustle of everyday life! The cabin is immaculate and richly decorated; it sets high on a wooded lot in a quiet neighborhood; and its central location is great for sightseeing, shopping, and hiking. Thank you, Suzi for being so accommodating and working so easily with us. We couldn't have asked for a better host or a nicer place to stay!
“Romantic and cozy.”
This place was amazing. The views from the cabin are breathtaking! Thank you Suzi for everything. We will be back.
Response from the owner July is booked in the cabin but August isn't- Let me know if you want to escape a month of heat from Phoenix!
“A great place to stay”
We met our son and stayed at Suzi's house for 5 days originally we were staying for 4 days but loved it so much we stayed an extra day. The house was recently remodeled and looked great. The location was close to everything we needed. The owner Suzi is very friendly and help us with some of our hiking and eating choices. If we make it back to Sedona in the future we will try and rent from Suzi again.
“Private Relaxing Stay”
I was referred to Suzi's cabin while looking for a place to stay. It was more than I expected and made our trip more enjoyable. The cabin is located in a quiet residential neighborhood (not in the tourist area) with views of the red rocks from the front deck. There are hiking trails at the end of the street. I found three organic markets and a couple of organic resteraunts. It is centrally located to shopping, outdoor activities, areas of interest and tourist attractions. The cabin offers all the amenities of home, is private, peaceful, relaxing and clean. I especially enjoyed the front deck to read a book while listening/watching birds or watching the sunrise / sunset against the view of the red rocks. Suzi made us feel welcome and our stay was very relaxing and peaceful - sad to have to leave. I will definitely be coming back! Thanks Suzi for your hospitality.
Response from the owner I look forward to your return! Suzi
“Former owner loves the delightful changes the New owner has made”
I lived in this cute cabin for 19 years and sold it to Suzi a year ago. She has made all of the upgrades I would have liked to make and a ton more I never even thought of. It is so adorable and elegant at the same time. I stayed for several nights in May and it was surreal! Still the same great neighborhood, fantastic hiking trails and close to shopping and restaurants, but now the upgrades make it a luxurious, fun place to stay. Excellent job Suzi!
Response from the owner Glad to host you, Nancy- Your former home will always host you Gratis-
“Sunshine, peaceful and relaxing setting and home.”
Thank you Suzi for sharing your rental home. We came to Sedona for calm and quiet and to decompress and we couldn't have picked a better place. Not only was the cabin spacious, comfortable and filled with everything you would need; there was a hiking and biking trail so close and many areas on the property to just sit and relax and reflect. We greatly appreciated you Welcome Book and your suggestions for places to eat and have fun. The food at the Cowboy Club and Heartline Cafe was wonderful and the Sunday Brunch at L'Auberge should not be missed; delicious and savory fare. It is an ideal place for a romatic getaway with lots of privacy but still so close to everything. Thank you again Suzi and we are planning to be back next year.
“Wonderful Stay and Location, highly recommended”
I stayed one week in March with my college age daughter. We had a wonderful stay, feeling like it was our home away from home, with everything you could need and more. It has the feeling of a cabin with the high ceilings and the floor to ceiling windows, but luxury of quality appliances and cookware. The attention to detail gives it a warm and inviting feeling the minute you walk in. The location is 7 houses from 3 trailheads(Sugarloaf,Chimney Rock, Thunder Mountain), 10 minute walk to grocery store or restaurants. There is a deck on two sides, with table and chairs to enjoy a meal or reading, while enjoying the mountain views. The owner is very helpful and has definfately put a good deal of time and effort into making this an inviting and memorable stay. The sheets and towels are super soft, comforters warm and cozy. I can't wait to return to this cabin.
