“Maui Kai #1008 was worth every penny!”
I cant say enough wonderful things about condo # 1008 at the north end of kaanapali beach. I cant imagine there are to many views in the world that could parallel the view from maui kai condo #1008. The moment we walked in the door, we knew we were on to something special. Views from the large sliding glass door on the lanai would make you think you're on a Cruise ship. You well see no other buildings... You look straight out at the beautiful pacific ocean and at molokai and lanai. The side view from the dinning room is of the coast line looking north as far as you can see. The interior furniture and art pieces were tasteful and comfortable. Loved the temperpedic bed.
“A must for anyone who just needs a break in life”
I wish I had stayed longer than 3 days. The last day I was there I tried to book for another week, but they were full. I know better next year when I come. The new leather furniture was a real luxury, but the highlight of this accommodation was the view from the penthouse.
“First Time In a Penthouse and Now I am Spoiled”
I can not believe the deal I got for my family. We saw whales, dolphins, and several other forms of wildlife from the privacy of our lanai. My children slept on the leather sleeper sofa and I had unparalleled sleep on a memory foam mattress. Ther is not to many places in the world where you get to experience a sunset every night.
“Can't beat the views at this renovated condo!”
This unit is spectacular for whale watching. You could spend a majority of your time just relaxing on the lanai and enjoying the view. The unit is updated and kitchen has granite counter tops. This is a perfect place for a couple. Coming from the Midwest the ocean is a BIG thing for us and it’s not unusual for us to sleep on the foldout to be closer to the sounds of the ocean. However, I was so disappointed when we wanted to set up the hideaway bed to be closer to the ocean and the condo wasn’t stocked with sheets for the couch. I have noticed with VRBO if you are a couple the owners seem to set up only what THEY think you will need instead of setting it up in it’s entirety. In other words if the condo says 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, set both up since it’s not like you get a discount for having less people. The parking lot seems to always have space for your car which is nice. The condo itself was very quiet and it felt like we were the only ones in the whole building. We loved being on that side of the building since you could see the lights of Lahaina. Other than the complaint of not having sheets for the foldout couch the first two nights, the condo needed more towels for drying dishes. They had only one hand towel, not a drying towel. The ice in the freezer had empty bins and empty trays. It would’ve been a nice touch to have that filled prior to the guests arriving. We didn’t find any binoculars which would’ve been nice for whale watching. Didn’t find any cooler but they do provide 2 beach chairs. Laundry and trash shoots are available on every other floor which was nice. The lanai is very private and we enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again. The owner was very attentive with our concerns and communicated quickly. The above items were all taken care of once it was communicated to the owners. The owners recommendation of the take out place near their condo, Okazuya take out was spot on.
“Terrific High Floor View In A Nice Updated Unit”
I stayed in Maui kai 901. I enjoyed having a corner unit with an additional side window because I could look down the beach and seem my favorite snorkeling spot in the world (black rock). We had terrific sunset views between the islands of Molokai and Lanai.
This is the first penthouse I have ever stayed at in my life, and I think I may be spoiled now. I plan on coming back here every year during this time of year to enjoy the beauty of this condo and the amazing oceanfront view. I saw whales at least every other day. The leather couches are very elegant and it was a great sleeping accommodation for my son.
“Heaven On Earth”
The view from all of the rooms is terrific - sunsets can't be beat. The whale watching in February & early March is the best you'll ever find. The staff at the Maui Kai are extremely friendly and go out of their way to accomodate your every wish. We've been staying at the Maui Kai (which we now refer to as "The Kai")for at least 6 years now. We started by renting directly from an owner, and switche to renting directly from the Kai. Renting from the Kai definitely has it's advantages - we will continue to come back, year after year, and would recommend it highly to everyone else!
“This was the best accommodation I have ever had in Hawaii”
Absolutely breath taking! I have been to Maui several times in my life, but never have I stayed in a condo that offers so much beauty. I had a hard time leaving the condo. I saw whales almost every other day. They had to drag me out kicking and screaming. Jim Cameron Oakland California
