“Amazing piece of paradise”

Reviewed 1 Jul 2015

An amazing adventure from the time we arrived til the night we departed. The hosts are beyond amazing and so sweet and accommodating. They always made sure we had fresh sheets and towels. The bungalow was very well equipped with everything we needed and quite comfortable....definitely home away from home atmosphere. No issues other than the roosters but the roosters are everywhere in the Cook Islands so you learn to tune them out. The location of this villa was perfect and close to everything including the airport. Best side of the island and less populated than the busy resort side of the island. Very relaxing destination made perfect by our hosts. You can't go wrong staying here.....I am a travel agent and have traveled a lot and so I have a lot to compare it to. Great price as well. Best vacation ever!!! Thank you for the memories!

“Couldn't get much better”

Reviewed 3 Mar 2014

we stayed at this beautiful Villa in November 2013. Susan and her family went above and beyond what was necessary, a fantastic 10 days were had by our family. Beach only a 2 minute stroll away, town 5 minutes drive. easy walking distance to great meals and cocktails. We would definitely stay here again if we go back to Rarotonga, cannot rate it highly enough, thank you again for helping us to have a great holiday.

“Island Time Island Perfection”

Reviewed 20 Jan 2014

An awesome holiday in a perfect place. Located closely to the beach and bush/farming area. The accomodation was great and catered for our family of 4.We had an early Xmas celebration at the time with extended family, which the kitchen facilities was more than capable to cater for this group of 11 as well as the room for everyone to have seating. We were in Raro for Vaka Eiva, which proof to be a wonderful family gathering to get together and give support to our neice's outrigging team.(who won both their finals in the under 16,s. Kay the neighbour a big thanks to her and her brother who provided us with a pizza delivered to our gate.He was mistaken as a pizza delivery person, when he was in fact dropping off his sister a pizza after finishing work. We had the munchies but didn't have the energy to cook at 8.45pm, so his timing was impeccable and a big thanks to Kay for eating earlier because she gave up her pizza for us. Susan and Rangi both great host who go the extra mile. They assisted with additional accomodaion and liaise with the Consulate and airport, when we lost a passport on the day of departure. They stayed with our family member till he left(2 days later)as his temporary travel docs were not ready in time for original flight. Staying at Raro Villa with our family was our own Island Paradise. We visited the resorts for that resort experience of dining in, swimming in the pool, socializing with the guest, but returning to our own villa it allowed us and our children their own space to play, make a lot a noise without upsetting others, it also allowed for the flexibility to come and go when we want, and to be able to entertain with others in a home setting. Susan thanks for the experience we will be back. I understand there is a Festival in May/June 2014 we will be hoping to return for this. The least like thing about our holiday is returning back to work/school, and gradually losing the great tan we got over the 11 days.

“Perfect Villa for a perfect holiday”

Reviewed 15 Jan 2014

Our family stayed at Villa Rarotonga over Christmas. Rangi,Susans mum was a very lovely host who upon meeting was really warm and welcoming which set the scene for our perfect family holiday. A very modern and private home that catered to our families needs and would equally be as hospitable if it were just the wife and I. The proximity to the beach (5min walk), local petrol station(2min walk), local restaurants (2-5min drive), Rarotonga Golf Club (5min drive), Airport(5min drive) and town(10min drive)made this such an easy pick for us. The local swimming area around Black Rock was breathtakingly beautiful and the clarity of the water reminded us everyday how lucky we were to have chosen this side of the island. Only minutes away from the Edgewater to have a lunch and a quick refreshing dip in the pool gave us an opportunity to have a resort experience.I could continue on and on about how perfect it was but instead I will just simply say the only negative comment I have was having to leave Villa Rarotonga. Thank you Susan and Rangi. See you again soon.

“Great snorkelling, lovely place, super family time”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2013

We loved the house, an ideal size for our family. Every day we went snorkelling and saw a wide variety of fish. We enjoyed the restaurants nearby and cooking at the house. Susan and family were very helpful and welcoming. The lovely tropical fruit from the garden was a bonus!

“Relaxing Vacation”

Reviewed 7 Nov 2013

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Rarotonga. The house was very comfortable and it had everything we needed to make our stay pleasant. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood and it takes about a 5 minute walk to get to the beach. The garden has lots of fruit trees including papayas, mandarins, passion fruit, bananas and two varieties of chilli peppers, since I like to cook we did not go out to eat but we rented a moped and the the villa's location makes it easier to go to the supermarket or the little shop where they sale fresh fish every day. Susan and her mom Rangi come by often to drop clean sheets and towels and also to make sure you are ok. They are wonderful ladies and they really make you feel welcome and if you have any problem or question they are a phone call away. Even the neighbor Kay is a delight and let us borrow Dvds to watch movies since there are only 2 TV channels. In all, it was a wonderful holiday and we think this house is the perfect place for families with children.

“Rarotongan paradise”

Staying at Villa Rarotonga was one of the reasons this holiday was such a success for us. Susan and her team were so accommodating from the initial inquiry to taking off for the trip home. The facilities, cleanliness and freedom from resorts and hotels were a necessary part of our visit, everything is there for you and should you need any guidance there is a first-class compendium of local restaurants, shopping areas, in fact everything you need to know to enjoy yourself on this amazing island. The location of the villa is perfect, slightly off the main road with friendly neighbours and plenty of local wildlife! You will not need an alarm clock! I would thoroughly recommend this as your choice of stay on Rarotonga and will definitely be booking again. Two thumbs up!!

We Stayed at Villa Rarotonga for 6 nights and wow is the best way to describe it! lovely villa (house) to stay in, very close (5min walk) from Black Rock which has awesome beach and snorkelling, small shop very close and just a short scooter ride to the main town. you can walk to nearby restaurants which you will not be disappointed with they are some of the best on island! The Villa has 2 big bedrooms with large bathrooms, and laundry room, kitchen / living room and the best bit is the balconys with tables etc for evening meals / bbq etc The Owner Susan and her mum will do everything they can to help you! it was never a problem if we called for something, you get a very personal feeling when you stay here! i fully recommend Villa Rarotonga to anyone!

“A home away from home!”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2013

I and my wife had the pleasure and luck to stay at Villa Rarotonga the last period of this May,The location is quiet and ideal,at walking distance from seaside, convenient store, restaurants, golf course and gas station,in case you rent a vehicle. The house itself is absolutely wonderful, both outside and inside!Imagine a big ,wooden tropical house inside a gorgeous tropical garden, with fruit trees and colorful flowers everywhere!Inside,in a big room with nice colors and lights, you'll find a fully furnished kitchen with everything you need for your cooking, and very comfortable sofa and armchairs for your relax,in front of a big tv screen. The two bedrooms(yes, because the house is for 2 couples or a family up to 5 people),with their own bathrooms, are nice and warm, with a great attention to details, like the whole house! We had most of our meals at home, enjoying the big covered deck area on front of the house, where you also find, besides a nice amaca, other 5 big armchairs around a glass table, where we relaxed reading those beautiful books about the Pacific world, provided by the house. And if you're a BBQ addict,no problem, you'll find a big one just in the garden, together with other table and chairs!!And what about Susan, the delicious host and owner of this dream house we are trying to describe!!She was always present with a smile, for all of our needs, giving us precious suggestions to make our stay on Raro an unforgettable experience! And what a pleasure was to meet also the rest of her beautiful family(prepare your belly for next sweets,Ala!!!).The only bad thing in our stay at Villa Rarotonga, was the too short time we had! We'd reccomend this wonderful accomodation to everyone, when you like that particular family feeling,a home away from home!So thank you again for everything, dear Susan and family, you are special!Ka kite and kia manuia.

“Great place!”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2013

Susan and Rangi are really great hosts, very friendly, they look after you, help you with all you need. The house is just perfect: well equipped, nicely decorated, fits perfectly for two couples. A few desadvantages:the road is buzzy in the morning and in the evening and at night the neigbour's dog often barked very loudly. One of the reasons why we changed bedrooms (but that was not a problem for Susan and Rangi)
