“Most Relaxing Place!”
Our lives have been hectic and we needed a place to relax and bond with family and friends. This is the best place we've ever stayed at!! Fully stocked kitchen for making good food and amazing star gazing at night while sitting around the fire. We all look forward to returning soon!!!
Response from the owner Hi! Thank you so much for the kind review. We are so glad you had such a good time and were able to relax and unwind!! Thanks also for leaving the place so nice when you left. We appreciate great renters like you! All my best to you, your family and friends
We gathered for a family and friend vacation and had an amazing time! The pictures do not do this place justice!! The place is easy to relax in. They have good beds, comfortable couches, and nice outdoor seating. The kitchen had all we needed for the big meals we cooked together! I think we enjoyed the fire pit the most!! (Don't forget to bring wood.) A couple brought guitars so we could stargaze while listening to great music. We also went over to Lake Nacimiento and rented a pontoon boat for the day and had so much fun. The kids loved jumping off it! This place has plenty of outdoor activities to keep you busy if that's what you want. We hope to make this place a yearly tradition!
Our family had such an amazing time together at D'Hart. From the spacious home and deck to the beautiful views. We felt so relaxed. We enjoyed wake-boarding and tubing at Lake Nacimiento, visiting the local wineries, sitting in the spa and relaxing out on the deck. The kids had a blast playing "Cowboy Golf", hockey, board games and watching movies.I have to admit that I enjoyed the large "well stocked" kitchen with every appliance and utensil that I needed while making all of our yummy food. And boy did we eat! There was a market about 10 minutes away that made shopping for groceries very convenient. We didn't want to leave but we know that we will be back again! We wouldn't change any part of our vacation..... except next time we are staying longer!
“Another great stay at the D'Hart Ranch!”
This is an update from my previous review submitted on 10/27/2012 (see "Family Reunion at the D'Hart Ranch"). We had another great family reunion at the D'Hart Ranch over the weekend of 19-20 October 2013. Just wanted to add that this year we incorporated a trip to one of the winery harvest festivals that occur in the Paso Robles area in the fall. Awesome! We attended the Opolo Vineyards festival and had a truly wonderful experience. All my previous comments are still valid. Always an enjoyable stay at the D'Hart Ranch... Thanks Guys!
“Family Reunion at the D'Hart Ranch”
We just returned from another great family reunion at the D'Hart ranch. This is our third time staying at the ranch and we once again thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were very clean and spacious, the kitchen well stocked, and the grounds well kept. Just bring groceries and you are good to go! The ranch is very nice, but for us, the biggest draw is the location. First, if you're a boater, the ranch is perfectly located between Lake Nacimiento and Lake San antonio. We prefer Lake San antonio, but have in the past gone to Lake Nacimiento because they have a marina there with boat rentals, fishing gear, bait, etc. Both lakes are easy to get to from the ranch. Second, we always spend one day wine tasting and this has become our favorite event. You could spend an entire week visiting 3 to 4 wineries a day and still not see half the wineries in the area. The west side of Paso Robles (where the ranch is located) is quite scenic with rolling hills, oak trees and vineyards. Just going out for a drive among the west side wineries is worth it for the scenery. Oh yeah, the wine is great too! Third, we enjoy a visit to the town of Paso Robles. Paso Robles is a charming "Old California" small town with great character and good shopping. We've made it a tradition to always visit the cheese shop on 13th street. They've got a great selection of cheeses, they're happy to let you sample, and we always find delicious pairings for our new Paso Robles wines. Lastly, the California coast is about an hour drive from the ranch and in the past we've visited Cambria and the Hearst Castle. These were an easy day trip from the ranch.
We arrived to find clean, well maintained homes with plenty of room for everyone! Our family enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen and using the BBQ and huge deck with beautiful views of the lake and rolling hills. It's only minutes from boating on the lakes. We were thankful for plenty of parking and the sport court. We loved it!!
