Perfect for two, your modern, corporate, boutique, apartment accommodation is hidden away in a small building in Acland Street near the top of the rise, and close to Fitzroy Street, a quaint, leafy, secluded part of lively St. Kilda. Behind its double security entrance you'll be delighted with your well-appointed apartment with its sunny, north-facing balcony. In the warmer months, you can enjoy the well-landscaped swimming pool, BBQ and surrounds!

This is a one-bedroom apartment: with a very comfortable, pillow-top queen bed, double sofa bed and single foldaway. There's also a cot and high chair available for a small fee if needed. Don't forget to bring linen for the cot.

Your Melbourne serviced apartment includes high quality furnishings and appliances, linen, beautiful bath and pool towels, and a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, as well as a 60” UHD Smart TV.

Getting around

Trams are only 100m away on the corner, and run frequently into the CBD and around St Kilda Point every 15 minutes or so.

I particularly want to thank you because this review just proves that the other 27 reviews posted here since 2014, at an average of almost 5 stars, are genuine. Whilst there may be some correct points mentioned here, I know that most people love this property, not just the location; and have done so since it was opened in 2005. You can find dozens more great reviews on other major websites. I was in communication with the two Meet n Greet staff when you checked in, and they confirmed that, 1) there was no cooking or other smell, 2) it wasn’t filthy (which I can prove with multiple photos taken the morning that you arrived), 3) one of the chairs did have a light stain on it, and 4) there was no obvious mould or rust stains anywhere, (only 4 small holes on one wall where a fitting has been removed for safety reasons). Yes, there is some surface rust on parts of the outdoor chairs, and they are due for replacement at some point. They are, however, perfectly clean and safe to sit on. They have been like this for some time, but nobody has even commented on them. I also have a photo of the soap and it is individually wrapped. I can see a small smudge of some sort on one of the paper wrappers. It is not covered in anything as you describe. I admit we slipped up with the sofa cover. Luckily we have spares, but we should have replaced it earlier. The comments you quoted from the Meet n Greet staff don’t sound correct. English is their second language, so I suspect that is not what she said. We had no other apartment available to relocate you to. We told you that at the time. Aside from that, there was no reason to do that, or give you a refund, given the above. By the way, we received no calls, texts or emails from you after this, for the eight days that you stayed there. We assumed that your concerns were settled after the interaction with the Meet n Greet staff. I have never heard of Travelocity.com, so I can make no comment about them. From the comments made by the Meet n Greet staff, it appears that you may simply have disliked the apartment when you arrived. This may have been why the Meet n Greet staff referred to the photos on the website being 100% accurate. We do guarantee this on our website. I’m sorry that the apartment didn’t meet your expectations. If you return to Melbourne, and would like to try somewhere else for a change of scene, we have nearly 30 different locations around inner Melbourne, with more than 800 reviews at 4.9 Stars, so there are plenty of reasons to 'StayCentral' and lots of scope for variety. BTW, if you want to see more reviews on this site, most of our guest reviews have gone against our Catani 2 apartment which is in the same building, but they are virtually identical. The restaurants are a little hidden around the corner in Fitzroy St. There are some good ones to the left, but if you turn right, there are some along the way, but you need to walk up one block to find the 'Paris end' of the street, and the good restaurants and cafes. Response from the manager This was a first for our apartments; half the door fell off the hinge! In 12 years we have never had anything like this happen. We still don't know how the hinge pin popped UP! We did get it fixed that day but we are pleased it doesn't happen every day. The problem with the cooktop is more that the labels are hard to read. We replaced them a while ago but we will have to get some more permanent labels. Thanks for reminding us about this. Yes, we replaced all the other appliances recently with new ones, including 60" UHD Smart TVs. I recall the noisy party you mentioned. This is extremely rare, as the building has many owner occupiers, so they normally keep this sort of thing under control, and noise is rarely a problem. We love our guests to enjoy their stay, so I was disappointed that you felt you had to leave one day early. How do damage deposits work?
