“Fabulous Trip”

Reviewed 24 Apr 2014

We loved staying in this condo. Jim and Ricardo were so friendly and helpful when we had questions about the area. The location is fantastic -- near some of the best taco stands, a wonderful bakery just a few streets over, a market with multiple fruit and veggie stands, tortilla factories, fabulous restaurants, shops of all kinds, and a short walk to the beach. What more could you ask for? We enjoyed exploring the neighborhood and fell in love with the Romantic Zone. The condo was very modern, updated, clean, and safe. We definitely want to stay here again and would highly recommend it.

“Awesome condominium”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2013

My husband, my daughters and I stayed at Casa Vallarta for 5 days in July. We had a great time there. The beach is in a walking distance and my daughters enjoyed it. Ricardo (the manager) showed us good places to eat anf where you could take the local bus to go to Walmart. He is a great person that goes above and beyond to service us. My husband and I are planning to go back soon. The girls loved the stay and we were happy with the service. What can I ask for, they offered services like Wifi, washer, dryer, beach towels, etc.

“Perfect location, nice airy space”

Reviewed 15 Jul 2013

I stayed for four weeks in Feb/March. The location was perfect, walkable to anything in old town and the beach. The hosts were wonderful, very attentive when you needed them but left you your privacy otherwise. The apt itself was airy and cool, and had all the basics you need. Internet was pretty good, was able to watch some netflix. I would definitely stay again.

“Excellent location, near Zona Romantica restaurants, nightlife,”

Reviewed 13 May 2013

First, the hosts were fantastic! Very accommodating and friendly and made lots of suggestions for places to eat and things to do. The unit was great with two nice sized bedrooms and baths and the price could not be beat! Within a block there are some good restaurants and bars and a short walk away are many more. Having a washer/dryer was excellent too! We will definitely stay again. Oh, and the beds are the most comfortable we have experienced in Mexico in many visits.

Response from the owner Hello Larry & Tony, Wanted to thank you for the review, Had a great time visiting with both of you. The dinners & bars were interesting & learned a lot about PV from you. Also enjoyed giving you a bad time grandpa Larry. lol Hope we see you in Oct. Maybe we won't be so busy working on projects this time. Take care & thanks again. Jim & Ricardo

“My Mexican Home”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2013

I have been going to Mexico for 27 years and this year stayed here at Casa Vallarta on Basilio Badillo for 5 weeks, all month of March 2013---It was great!!! fully furnished-comfortable beds- clean-safe newly renovated home away from home.Jim the owner and Ricardo the manager go the extra mile-very friendly and helpful--always 1 of them there to help if needed for any info. Only 5 easy blocks from the beach--on bus route--on a great street with lovely shops and restaurants serving scrumptious food-a fresh fruit/veggie market close --fresh squeezed orange juice every morning 4 doors down,so you have the option of eating at home!! My daughters came down for 10 days and feel the same about this property.I would recommend this to everyone who wants to experience some of real Mexico in beutiful Puerto Vallarta Mexico.I'm going back next year!!! Hasta luego! Muriel- Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Response from the owner Muriel don't know what to say. You were & are a great person. You were always there to offer an extra hand or a word of encouragement. Enjoyed all the talks we had. Really hated to see you leave even thou I left first. You have 2 very pretty daughters & the son-in-laws were OK. I hope everything is going well for you & hope to see you this coming fall. Even for a week! I will sleep on the lounge chairs you can have the 5th unit. lol If there is anything just ask you are always welcome in my home. Please tell Jody & Debbie hi. Stay in touch, Jim

“Great Condo”

Reviewed 5 Mar 2013

Dave and I spent our first trip to PV staying at this condo in Feb 2013. The place was beautiful; clean, bright, comfortable and close to everything. Jim made the booking and welcome perfect. The Old Market area is beautiful and this place is only a 10 minute walk to the beach. The street is busy, but the rooms quiet, and the busy street means taxis are easily available. Thanks for making our first stay awesome. John and Dave

Response from the owner Hello John & Dave, Didn't know I could reply till a month ago. John hope everything is going well in Afghanistan. Keep your head down. Dave you were the quiet one. If you make it back this spring we can have a beer across the street. Stay warm & keep in touch. Jim

“wow very nice place”

Reviewed 14 Jan 2013

We arrived in PV and was greeted by owner Jim Nelson who was very nice. The condo was absolutely beautiful. The place was right along a busy street which meant cabs or buses were very attainable yet no street noise inside so we always had very nice sleep at night. The entire place was very secure with a beautiful kitchen with modern appliances, queen size beds and large closets, plentiful hot water for showers, and washer and dryer so our beach towels were always fresh. From the condo it's a 10 minute walk to the beach and a shorter walk home from the clubs late at night. We had a great stay and definitely would stay here again. A most enjoyable stay. Thanks Jim. Garry and Jon

Response from the owner Garry & Jon, The neatest men in PV. Monica the cleaning lady loved you guys cause there was never a mess & you always left her a tip. Nice guys both of you. Wish we could have had a few beers together. Thank you for the great review & hope you both come back soon. Thanks again, Jim

“Great Places = Great Memories”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2012

I am not one to leave reviews, in fact this is my first ever. People will stay at a location that is best for them and this place was best for my family and I. We didnt want the "fake mexican feel" (resort and no charm) . This location was close to everything tourist and yet very authentic. The pictures do in a great in-justice bc the place looked like an Ikea store. It was so great to have a washer and dryer with all the swimming we did at the beach. I could write a whole seperate review on how great and attentive Jim (the owner) and Ricardo (Property manager) are. They made everything comfortable and easy for us. Ricardo is like having your own private expert and local helper. Everything was good and you cant beat the price!!! I say if you want to feel a "fake Mexico" go and stay at a big resort but if you want some safe and real Mexican exp with charm and locals you treat you good come here.
