While we only stayed one night, the bungalow was in a perfect location and we had a great stay. The place has been done up wonderfully, with the giant projector tv and the heated floor, it certainly made a welcome change from the hostels we had previously been staying in around the ring road. Arni is also a brilliant host, very helpful, so thanks for having us :) Wouldn't think twice about staying again.
“Delightful and charming westfords stay”
We were delighted to arrive at this charming bungalow after a long drive. Arni met us in town and led us to the renovated little house. The house has a fantastic modern Scandinavian aesthetic combined with old timber beams and antique photos of the area. Arni told us about the town, invited us to come help him feed his Icelandic horses (we wanted to ride, but there was too much snow at the time), told us about fun things to do and good places to eat. He couldn't have been nicer and our only regret is that we couldn't stay there longer. My college-age kids loved the horses and are ready to live in homes that look like arni's bungalow. Nuts and bolts: comfortable beds, warm comfortable comforters, soft pillows, fully equipped kitchen. Charming loft area above the kitchen. Walking distance to town.
“Great stay in Isafjordur”
What a great place in the middle of Isafjordur! We booked this studio for two nights and enjoyed our stay a lot. The owner is very friendly, gave us some really handy advices and everything went just how it should go when you rent an accommodation. The studio is spacious and there is everything you need for your stay. Oh, and the kids loved the projector TV:-) When we come again tom Isafjordur, we will definitely book this studio again! Thanks for your hospitality, Arni!
“Quaint, cozy, clean, comfortable, and very friendly!”
From booking to checkout, nothing but a great experience! Árni & Mimmo (and little Árni), the local Isafjorður family who built and run this place, live just across the street are incredibly hospitable. The bungalow is a more of a hobby project for them than a business, so their service is as personal and friendly as if they were inviting you into their own home. The facilities are immaculately cleaned and maintained, and the room is cozy and comfortable beyond words. Watch your head when you walk into the bathroom (but they'll remind you!). Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a great night's sleep!
The apartment is located in the centre. It is clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The kitchen is fully equipped ( coffee machine, toaster, water boiler, fridge with freezing compartment, cooker&oven;). There´s also Inet-TV with a lot of international programs. The owner is very friendly and helpful. A great apartment! We enjoyed our stay!
The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and in a great location in town. Like many homes in Isafjordur, tall people will have to duck when going through doorways, which didn't bother us at all. As shown in the picture, the ceiling is vaulted and has a very spacious feel. Arni made us feel very welcome and gave us a great restaurant recommendation. This is a great place!
“A superb accommodation alternative in Isafjördur”
We arrived in Isafjördur by car on 28 March 2013, and our host Árni met us at the local gas station and guided us towards Silfurgata 12, which would be our home for the next two days. Judging from its outside appearance, we didn't have very high expectations to the interior. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we entered the building to see a top modern apartment with a fully equipped kitchen and two sleeping rooms, one of them located above the kitchen and accessible by ladder. The apartment also came with a tiled bathroom with heating cables, wireless internet and a projector TV and sound system. The service we received from the host couple was excellent, and the price was reasonable. We have all the best to say about this accommodation alternative, perfectly located just a stone throw away from the centre of town.
“The perfect place to relax!”
Me and my friend spent our easter holiday in Ísafjörður and stayed at this cozy little guesthouse. The interior of the place is bright and very inviting. The facilities are excellent and everything works perfectly. The set up of the place perfect for relaxing and hanging out. We spent most of our days out skiing and this was the perfect place to come back home to relax in the evenings. There is a projector, high speed internet connection, lazy-boy chair and a super comfortable bed. If anything this place is too cozy... We slept for almost 10 hours every night :-) The location is also great... Less then a 5 min walk to the best restaurants and points of interest downtown. The hosts, Árni and Mimmo very also so nice and friendly and left us with a great impression of the town. I highly recommend this place :-)
“A great place to stay and a very nice landlord!”
A very nice little cottage in the middle of Ísafjördur with a comfortable kitchen. Very clean and cosy!
wir waren zum dritten mal zu gast und haben uns jedesmal sehr wohl und zuhause gefühlt.
