“Wundervoller Familienurlaub”

Reviewed 18 Sep 2013

Response from the owner Vielen, vielen Dank für Ihre freundlichen Worte Andre. Wir hoffen, Sie begrüßen alle eines Tages wieder :-) Marina

“Relaxing and spacious house in a great location.”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2013

Many thanks to Marina and Peter for providing the location for such a great holiday and for being such helpful but discreet hosts. The house is beautifully located with fabulous views from the house and pool.It is well equipped and cool in the heat of the day. Whether you felt active (full sized table tennis table, table football, badminton gear and of course a 10m pool) or more like relaxing (great selection of books, plenty of indoor snug options, a huge table outside and of course a pool surrounded by beach chairs and hammocks) there was always lots to do at the house. We loved the surrounding countryside which was amazingly varied and unspoilt with great views at every twist in the road ( there are plenty of twists) . We were lucky to visit the Piano Grande just as a six miles flat valley of wildflowers came into flower. We walked above the tree line on the top of the Sibillini mountains - amazing views and easy walking through cropped pasture. We boated on a local lake ( inflatable kayak kindly provided by Peter) and swam in the adriatic at Civitanove Marche. Local towns such as amandola ( great ice cream) and Sarnarno and the local villages were all very friendly and relaxing places to visit. Marina and Peter managed to pull of the perfect balance of being really helpful without intruding in any way. I would love to come back.

Response from the owner Thank you so much for your lovely review, its always great to know we get things right for our guests, nothing makes us happier - we understand how precious your holidays are and try to anything we can to give you the holiday you deserve :-) Hope to see you again in the future, M&P

“Hillside farmhouse that exceeded all our expectations”

Reviewed 19 Jul 2013

This was our first trip to the Marche region and from this exceptional farmhouse experience, it will not be our last. We were a party of 12 family/friends (all adults) celebating my wife's 50th birthday, and to say that the holiday exceeded all our expectations is an understatement! The farmhouse is charming, with all the facilities in the listing and more! But no description in the listing could do the secluded setting and views the justice they deserve- absolutely stunning . The large table on the terrace was great for dining and drinking into the evening, whilst looking out across the vista. A perfect place to relax, unwind and party. Marina and Pete (the owners) live in an adjoining cottage and provided a level of friendly client service that is second to none. Their attention to our needs and wishes both before and during the stay was top drawer. Having them on hand to describe what to see and visit in the local area; provide directions; shopping tips on food, wine etc; restaurant suggestions and booking them for us; was invaluable. On the Saturday night we celebrated my wife's birthday with a typical Marchigiani rustic meal prepared by Marina and Pete. The spread was fantastic, even down to the detail of the birthday cake, bunting and lights round the pool for the after dinner dancing - a great night was had by all! During the two weeks we visited various suggested restaurants in Monte San Martino, Sarnano, San Vittorio and on the lake and all served great food and were good value. But the highlights for us were the two agriturismo's which they suggested we ate at - Contrada Durano, below Smerrilo where James and Conchetta served up 5 courses of Michelin Star quality; and Querche below Monte San Martino where the menu was more rustic, but the sunset views from the table on the terrace were breathtaking. The same can be said of Piano Grande at the top of Sibillini mountains -incredible scenery. In summary - great farmhouse, great setting and great owners!

Response from the owner Thanks so much for your kind words, we love it when guests take us up on our suggestions and have a great time, hope to see you again, loads more places to discover! All best M&P

“Great place for a relaxing holiday”

Reviewed 2 Jun 2013

Sei Camini is set in the most beautiful countryside. We loved lounging about in the garden gazing out over the stunning views and seeing in the distance the little hill top towns. It was just how we had always imagined rural Italy. The property itself is secluded and very well maintained and equipped - the kitchen has absolutely everything you could want. Marina and Pete were very friendly and always up for an chat as to what to do in the area - do ask them them about the town where genuine Panama hats can be bought at a hugely reduced price. We came very early in the year and sadly it wasn't warm enough to want to use the pool but I can imagine how useful it would be when it gets to high summer. It's set away from the house in a great position. One last thing - the bed we had has to be one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. This is a great place to have a relaxing holiday with family and friends. Hopefully we will be back.

Response from the owner Thank you so much for such a lovely review. We would be delighted to welcome you back one day. The 'hat village' is Montappone where they finish the beautiful Panama hats and sell them at half the price they would be in London. They looked fantastic on you both! All best M&P

“Amazing views, beautiful digs!”

Reviewed 27 Sep 2012

This is a Gorgeous place, and Very reasonably priced for Italy! The bedrooms and baths are all renovated and beautifully decorated. Super cozy-feeling, but lots of space. There are different seating areas and rooms so everyone needn't be "together" all the time, which can be a big plus for a family. There's also a pool, hammocks, beautiful views and tables for outdoor dining. The hosts are really wonderful people. Very helpful and low key. They gave us a lot of information on things to do in the area, but didn't intrude in any way. There are inexpensive restaurants and a grocery store nearby, so you can eat in or go out without breaking the bank. The nearby towns are gorgeous and quaint for strolling, shopping, photographing or just sitting in a cafe. Overall, the weather was sunny and quite pleasant, with just one rainy day and a few clouds. We truly had a lovely stay at Sei Camini and hope to return someday. I highly recommend it!

Response from the owner So glad you guys had such a great time, thanks for your review! M&P

“'We enjoyed a great week here in mid June.”

Reviewed 2 Sep 2012

The house has an amazing setting with wonderful views towards the coast and most evenings we barbequed and sat out watching the sun go down over a few glasses of the local rose. The children loved the fireflies in the evening - like something out of Harry Potter - and swimming in the pool at night watching the stars. House is very clean, comfortable and well equipped and the English owners very friendly and generous with small presents from their garden. They booked tables at a couple of restaurants for us and an afternoon's riding for my daughter -our Italian is not good and it was useful to have someone who could do this for us close at hand. Lots to do and see in the area, went to the beach one day which was very pleasantly empty, we heard it never gets busy until august but most of the chalet restaurants were open and we even found one which served brilliant sushi! Highly recommended, the photos do not do the place justice, its even better, thanks Pete and Marina for a lovely holiday.'

Response from the owner Thanks so much, so glad you had such a good time and we were able to help. We'd love to see you again.

“It is a magic place”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2012

What a fantastic place to come down and relax. It is a very quit place with a kind of magic when the sunset. We have been there for two weeks with our five children. We all had fun. The house is bigger than you can imagine from the photos. The rooms are very comfortable. The kids were fine with the pool and Marina and Pete were so friendly and helpful with everything. We will come back for sure with our friends.

Response from the owner Thanks so much for your kind words Kathrin, we'd be delighted to see you and your gorgeous family again, M&P

“Wonderful house!!”

Whe have been in this beautifull house with 2 families with teenagers. There is space enough inside and outside there is a very big and beautiful garden where you can play and relax. The swimming pool is clean and you can lay down in a chair or hammock. There is a great view on the hills everywere you look. We enjoy the BBQ and the pizza oven. We had a very nice holiday here. Pete and Marina are very kind and good for their guests.

Response from the owner Thanks so much Annemarie, we very much enjoyed meeting all our lovely Dutch guests this summer, hope to see you again, M&P

“Our week at Sei Camini”

Reviewed 31 Jul 2012

We have visited Sei Camini for two consecutive summers and have had the most wonderful time Marina and Pete are the most marvellous hosts and it was great to have a font of knowledge on the doorstep. The house is spacious and has a wonderful calm feeling, is full of great art and books, a well equipped kitchen with enormous fridge and range and the al fresco views whilst dining on the terrace were to die for. The pizza restaurant by the lake was a great favourite with our children and they loved the windy roads and the gorgeous pool with hammocks and loungers. We hope to be back again one day.
