“Beautiful, Peaceful Haven truly relaxing”

Reviewed 8 May 2014

My wife and I had a fabulous break at this wondetful cottage, the hot tub was pure bliss we spent a ridiculous amount of time in it watching the world go by and enjoying the scenery and surroundings, a perfect place for basing yourself to explore the wider surroundings.

Response from the owner Hi- thank you for your lovely review. We are glad you enjoyed the hot tub and look forward to seeing you both again next February.

“Stay here and feel the stress levels plummet..”

Reviewed 28 Apr 2014

Just returned from a 3 night break here and was very impressed with accommodation and the area itself! John was a fantastic host and a local tourist information centre! A special mention of his right hand man, his wee daughter Julia! Couldn't fault the cottage as it was well equipped, cosy, in a wonderful setting and perfect for a romantic break though would be great for families. Fishing was the highlight though the hot tub a close second! Will be back here for sure.

Response from the owner Hi- thank you for your lovely review and we are glad you enjoyed the fishing. It was nice chatting with you as you fished and I also found it very relaxing. I have bought some new improved bait and we hope to see you again in the future

“Perfect stay in a lovely cottage”

Reviewed 22 Oct 2012

Clan Campbell Cottage is the perfect place to escape from daily life and to enjoy some lovely moments in a peaceful environment. Our holidays started with a warm welcome by Ursula and John (who always gave us a hand if needed) and then we discovered their charming cottage with 2 fire places and all the equipment to make holidays easy and comfortable. The cottage is perfectly located to discover different places and to enjoy Scottish lifestyle. We can really recommend this place and we will be definitely back one day! Thank you Ursula and John for 12 wonderful and great days in aberfeldy!

“A Gem on the banks of Tay”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2012

A very comfortable house set in a beautiful and peaceful location on the banks of the Tay. Its position proved perfect for us while visiting numerous local interests from Killin and the beautiful Glenlyon to Kenmore, Fortingall and aberfeldy. The Campbells were welcoming hosts to a perfect and relaxing holiday!

“Perfect setting!”

What can we say? This wonderful cottage has it all: beautiful riverside setting, cottage interior was quality in every way. Friendly and hospitable hosts, a magical place to stay. Lovely secluded gardens for walking and relaxing, 2 roaring fires and of course, the pool table! Will certainly be back! 10/10

“Very correctable and relaxing in a great cottage with trout fish”

Reviewed 7 Sep 2012

Service was first class,Always asked if there was anything we needed. Cottage was far better than expected, spacious rooms and a well equipped Kitchen. Location very peaceful and relaxing and only a couple of miles from aberfeldy. I really enjoyed the trout fishing on the river Tay which was only a few metres from the cottage.i would certainly return for another break.

“A perfect getaway”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2012

This was our first family (2+2) holiday to Scotland so we were really excited. Unplanned lastminute & pretty much spontaneous, we picked a location on a map and discovered availability at the clancampbell cottages. Pictures paint a 1000 words and this cottage was picture perfect. On arrival we received a warm welcome and a quick tour of the cottage. The cottage is in a remote location on the river bed with some very beautiful views of the surrounding mountains & forests. Its located about 4 miles just outside the center of the Village therefore its essential you have some form of transport if you want to get out and about (car/bike) and if self catering like us we took a boot full of food/snacks, although there are shops in the village they close early, although one supermarker was open till 10pm. In the mornings & evenings you can stroll the 11 acres of land along the riverbed all part of the property, its peaceful & tranquil. Plenty of room for the kids to run around. There's a BBQ & table/seats outside if you wanted a BBQ by the river. Although we never fished before the owner was happy to let us use his fishing rods, no catches for amateurs but great fun for the boys. We took our car so booked a session on a forest landrover safari at the highland safari center (15 min drive) and an afternoon at the Crannnog visitors centre (30 min drive) which was really exciting for the boys, learning to make fire & grind corn iron age methods. There is also the option of white water rafting but at a price tag of £40 per head becomes very expensive for a family of 4, there are however options to take canoes & kayaks out into other lochs if you are prepared to drive. All in all we had a lovely and pleasant time. Our first holiday to Scotland exceeded our expectations and even though we had no plan, there was plenty to keep us busy. Highly recommend the cottage, would love to visit again but now Ive got the bug will want to explore more of Scotland.

“Fabulous Perthshire experience”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2012

We came across the cottage by mistake but will visit again for sure. The service was perfect, hands-on but not intrusive, lots of information about the surrounding area and things to do but we were left to make our own decisions after that (super Deli in aberfeldy) Our cottage had 2 beautiful bedrooms, a great kitchen, dining room with pool table! and warm and comfortable sitting room. The river Tay is stunning and we were right on it. Canoes went by, we fished for trout, my husband caught a beauty and we took a taxi to the nearby pub for supper- just great. Highly recommended.

“Hidden gem.”

Reviewed 23 Jul 2012

Just had a wonderful long weekend at the cottage. High quality accommodation with everything we could need. Ideal centre for hill walking, fishing or water sports. Quiet, peaceful location with a warm welcome from the owner. Log fires, spacious rooms and comfortable beds helped make this a relaxing weekend for all the family. We would certainly stay again.
