“Loggos Retreat is aptly named!”
It is difficult not to understate how amazing this villa is; set within the welcoming community of Loggos on the truly amazing island of Paxos. Commanding stunning views from all aspects, the villa provides first class accommodation with no stone unturned by Sarah and Nigel,in providing every home comfort. There is ample opportunity to explore the island by local transport, taxi or walking and the friendliness of the islanders made this a most enjoyable experience. I hope I am fortunate enough to make another visit to this villa on such a lovely island; I found my 'oasis'.
“Amazing villa in Paxos walking distance to bars/restaurants”
Loggos Retreat is a spectacular villa with kitchen and dining room on the first floor which meant we could eat and drink while viewing the panoramic scenes of the harbour and misty islands in the far off distance! That was glorious! We also enjoyed two separate balconies leading out from the dining area so if you wanted to get in or out of the sun you had the choice - very cleverly designed. The kitchen was well equipped. We sometimes ate out in local places and sometimes bought in food from a sweet little supermarket just down the road about 7 minutes walk away. It's nice to have the choice and to have amenities close by. The locals were very friendly. Downstairs there are two main bedrooms which have enormous beds and ensuite bathrooms so there were no arguments over that! They both had the same luxury and I'd say that it's quite unusual - normally you only get one master bedroom per villa but there's two here! Paxos itself is simply lovely. Just to experience real pure natural beauty is one reason why we went in the first place and we weren't disappointed with regular 5 minute walks each night to see the fireflies. Wild flowers, lapping clear sea and goats and sheep grazing outside locals' houses just made for the most relaxing and peaceful holiday. It feels very safe here. On collection, our hire car had a note inside the windscreen with our name. The keys were in the ignition and the car was unlocked!
“Stunning villa, in a spectacular location - truly a first class”
We stayed with friends for 8 nights in June 2012 at Loggos Retreat and would definitely return. The villa is brand new, superbly furnished and there are even super-king beds in the two master bedrooms. We often travel as two couples and there is always one room, which is far superior to the other. Imagine our delight when both rooms had the wow factor. The pool is amazing with plenty of poolside space and sun beds. There is a very professional barbecue and a super outside dining space plus two separate balconies for evening drinks. Loggos itself is a charming village with lots of lovely tavernas and some amazing beaches. In the unlikely event you would wish to stay in and cook (other than the bar-b-q, of course) the kitchen is superbly fitted and the plates, glasses, utensils etc are nicer than we have at home.
