Bed & Breakfast style accommodation at beautiful Princess Margaret beach with independent access to your room and a kitchenette (with fridge, sink, toaster, kettle) to prepare continental style breakfasts and the important drinks. You are welcome to stock the fridge with your own provisions. (Rate is self-catering.) Quality accommodation in a perfect beach location. With a wow view!

The room offers a luxury king size bed, Egyptian cotton, or bamboo bed linen, air conditioning, an outdoor shower with a view of the ocean and the stars, a spacious bathroom area with all the towels you need, your own balcony, and use of a shared pool.

Jack's Bar, a very special Caribbean beach bar restaurant, is below, perfect for those rum punches or dining out.

Easy to keep an eye on the anchorage off Princess Margaret, or catch water taxis off Jack's jetty, and a great location for spotting the mega yachts that visit the island.

For walkers, there is a cliff-side trail into Port Elizabeth (De Harbour), or over to Lower Bay.

Bequia is a unique, unspoiled island that is well loved by all types of tourists, a favorite with yachties and celebrities who want to keep a low profile. Princess Margaret is considered by many to be the best beach on the island and faces west for wonderful sunsets.

The accommodation is at A Shade of Blues, a luxury villa which also has a two bedroom / two bath rental apartment.

Perfect accommodation for short stays at the beach. At a very affordable price. No vehicle hire necessary.

Please note that the accommodation is for adults only and that there are steps up to the property that may be difficult for the less able.

Getting around

Fit folk can walk most everywhere. It's a small island - but a hilly one. The Princess Margaret Trail is very scenic route to Belmont Walkway (Plantation House, Fig Tree, Macs, Frangi et al), and into DeHarbour (basic needs shopping). Trail also goes across Princess Margaret beach over the cliff to Lower Bay. (Nandos, Keegans, De Reef, Dawn's, et al). Water taxi across the harbour to Cocos, Sailors, Pirates et al (or longer walk). Road walk to Friendship, Spring etc. Or inexpensive taxi ride.

Interaction with guest

There is a separate 2 bedroom / 2 bath Apartment on the top storey of the villa. Max occupancy 4 persons. Owners accommodation is in the middle level (2 persons) ANightAshore is at the pool level. It is a Shared Pool, but we find most people prefer to swim at Princess Margaret beach, so not around the pool deck so much.

How do damage deposits work?

If Monica (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
