“Totally relaxing weekend”

Reviewed 24 Oct 2013

My wife rented this for my birthday weekend. Everything was perfect. The furnishings were comfortable and suited the cabin. I marveled at the craftsmanship of the person who originally built it. The secluded location was much appreciated. The only suggestion I could make to future guests is that if you prefer a soft bed, bring something to put on the bed. It was a bit harder than we like.

“A Little Slice of Heaven”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2013

This was a wonderful cabin! It had all the amenities we needed and loads of charm. The kitchen was more than adequate to cook our meals after long days of hiking and exploring in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was relaxing to sit on the screened in porch to read and listen to the river. Our boys, age 8 and 9, loved the adventure of sleeping in their own cabin. It was the perfect outdoor getaway for us and the location was close enough to allow day trips to Rmnp, Estes Park, and Roosevelt National Forest. At night, it was very relaxing to sit by the fire. Would definitely recommend this rental. Pinebrook and the owners were great.

“A perfect week!”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2013

We were searching for a cabin for a family gathering of 3 generations and Paulsen's Jewel was just perfect. Four adults and one baby and a perfect vacation. The cabin has all the amenities you could imagine and also had the rustic charm we were searching for. The screened in porch is the perfect addition to this location.

“Beautiful location”

Reviewed 30 Jun 2013

Cute cabin in a great location. Had everything we needed for cooking, laundry, etc. The cabin was stocked with kitchen utensils, pots/pans, extra sheets, blankets, towels. The owners' house was right next door, and they were really nice and helpful with any questions we had. However, the living room furniture was not comfortable and had a musty smell (we covered the furniture with the extra blankets to minimize the smell), and there were quite a few spiders.

“Serene and beautiful log cabin in the woods.”

Reviewed 12 Jun 2013

If you are looking for a secluded cabin that also allows relatively close access to Rmnp and Estes Park, this beautifully appointed cabin would be a great choice. Located off the highway in a heavily wooded valley, you can see glimpses of other cabins but we rarely saw other people during our eight day stay. The screened porch was our favorite spot to sit and listen to the creek rush by. Great bathroom/laundry room and the kitchen has everything you need. The queen size bed is quite firm. Half-hour drive to Estes with beautiful mountain views along the way. Recommend a stop in allenspark, just seven miles away on the way to Estes.
