Cozy cabin, beautiful setting, hot tub, well stocked lake and awesome trails to hike nearby...what more do you need for a perfect honeymoon?!
“Serene mountain retreat, perfect for a romantic getaway”
We stayed at the Lakeside cabin for a celebration of our 9th wedding anniversary. The one bedroom cabin was clean and cozy. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck, relaxing on the lounge chairs at the lakeside dock, paddle boating around the lake, and fell asleep to the rain pitter-pattering on the rooftop. Access to town and the river is super easy. We even hiked up to the mountain top deck. The location is very serene and private. Just what we were looking for for a romantic getaway!
We enjoyed our little cabin so much. The great bonus is jacuzzi where you can watch the fireflies flicker all over at night. The hike on top of the mountain is short enough for everyone enjoy the awesome view. The little lake is serene, with a dock to enjoy beer and watch sunset. We brought games, and it was very cozy evening. There was also the whole collection of ROCKY, but we did not get to it :) thank you for offering your home, we will be back
It was beautifully quiet! Richard's cabin was neat and clean. We were able to hike the mountain several times to the top and enjoy a spectacular view. We enjoyed going to the lake in the early morning to enjoy the view. The paddle boat was used many times and on one occasion we jumped in for a swim. The cabin itself is cozy! The jacuzzi overlooking the scenery is a nice touch. This cabin is very private. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this location. Money and time well spent!
“Best Value for Your Vacation Dollar.!”
We rented the cabin for a short get away with the kids and found it to be amazing. The cabin had all of the nice things that make you feel comfortable. We all had fun at the lake, swimming and fishing. The kids had a great time making smores over the fire pit, and we all had a chance to unwind, playing games and relaxing in the hot tub. Everything was neat and very clean and the kitchen was well equipped, including a very nice grill. The only thing wrong was that we did not have longer to stay. This was such a nice get away!
“Secluded, Pet Friendly, Romantic Relaxing Mountain Getaway!”
Duck's Nest is truly the best of many worlds! Secluded in the mountainside, surrounded by all the beauty of the smokies, but still there is an almost private lake to fish on! The cabin itself was in great shape. The hot tub was ready to go when we got there, and everything else was comfortable and cozy and we felt right at home! Our dogs loved the freedom to run and sniff around the trees and lake. We took the paddle boat out multiple times and caught lots of fish! I really enjoyed watching the "smoke" roll onto the lake from the crevices of the surrounding mountains. The firepit was waiting for us as well. To top it off, there are plenty of sights/trails/waterfalls to see along the scenic byways nearby that make for great day-trips and then come home to the relaxing cabin. We did not want to leave! Thank you so much~
This was a great way to spend a couple of relaxing days. Quaint, peaceful, and restful. The accomodations were excellent.
I stayed at the cabin for a week. It was so clean, beautiful and relaxing. I look forward to going again in the future.
“Secluded, quiet, and relaxing”
My family had a great time staying in the lake view cabin. It was very relaxing and had all features we needed. -- Quiet (no neighbors close by with noisy kids), kitchen so we could prepare some simple meals and didn't have to go out for every meal, a Jacuzzi, fishing dock, and patio with hummingbirds flying all around. We mixed in days of just total relaxation with active days of horseback riding and white water rafting. Beautiful!
