- Very Good
open, airy apartment within walking distance of most attractions. Best of all was the terrace which was relaxing at the end of a full day of walking. thank you to Bernard who answered several of our phone calls to ask for good, close by restaurants and bakeries. All 6 of us had a great time here.
“Best bet- a win!”
We absolutely loved this apartment rental. It was actually bigger than it looks in the pictures which was a nice surprise. It was very roomy for us 5 adults. There were 3 bedrooms - two with a double bed and one room with 2 twin beds. There are 3 bathrooms - on the first floor there was a bathroom with a toilet -- on the second floor one of the bathrooms has a toilet, a double sink, and a small shower -- the other bathroom is also on the second floor and has a double sink and a bathtub/ shower. Besides the 3 bedrooms upstairs, downstairs there is a full kitchen with a table and an open living room with a dining table and a private big sized balcony overlooking scenic old Paris. The appliances include a small but adequate washer and dryer and a dishwasher, oven, and iron. Across the street on Rue Maine is a medium sized grocery store and a patisserie (Artisan Boulanger Patisserie ) on nearby Rue de la Gaite. There are many patisseries in the area. Nearby is Rue Raymond Lossand and the great restaurants Les Fragines (number 46r) and Au Metro (66) - with our favorite waiter Babar. Around the corner is also Le Chateau de at 101 Rue du Chateau. Bernard met us at the main office and was right on and very helpful. Sean brought us to the apartment and both assisted us with information and answers to all our questions. I cannot say enough positive things about them. They were great. After 2 months we are still talking about what a great time we had and how fantastic "our" apartment was.
“Good location but bedrooms are tiny!”
The apartment is beautiful and furnished well. The rental agency was kind enough to leave a few things in the fridge like a bottle of wine, an ice cream stick, milk, etc in the apartment. There is a supermarket hardly 5 mins walk from the apartment. Easy access to Gaite Metro station or Gare Montparnasse Train station. The bedrooms are tiny though. The master bedroom is quite good but the other two bedrooms are ridiculously tiny. Not comfortable for 2 people with luggage. We finally ended up dumping the suitcases in the hallway just so that we had space to move in the bedrooms. Bathroom toiletries are good. The shower in the 2nd bathroom is extremely small. Big people will only be able to use the bathtub in the other bathroom. They offer a complimentary pickup from an airport/train station OR a complimentary drop after check out. We opted for the pick up from CDG as we were landing at 11:00 pm. They sent a big van which easily swallowed 5 large suitcases, innumerable smaller bags and 5 people along with the driver. Views from the apartment are good but nothing great (as the Eiffel tower is on the other side of the building). Overall, I would recommend this apartment to anyone with a small group. If you are 4 people, it will be a squeeze but manageable. But 6 people? No way!
Response from the manager Thank you so much for your review! Very glad to hear you so enjoyed your stay at our Montparnasse Duplex apartment. We must admit we have never heard this apartment referred to as being too small for a party of 6, so this came as a bit of a surprise as it is easily one of the largest apartments we manage in Paris. And while the two smaller bedrooms might not be considered large, we feel it would be equally misleading to call them "tiny" as well. At 135 square meters and two floors, we feel this apartment is perfectly suited for parties of 6. Your opinion is truly valued, however, and we will certainly take your thoughts into consideration as to how we might improve upon this location. It was our pleasure to host you and we hope to see you all again soon! Sincerely, The HFR Team
“Renting this apartment just the beginning of a fabulous Paris ad”
From the moment I found this apartment on Trip advisor and dealing with Holidays France Rentals...I knew our Paris adventure was off to a great start. Bernard and his staff were so helpful...from answering my silly questions to arranging our CDG car service,... they are the best. We were 2 ladies traveling with a granddaughter 12 and a daughter 14. The master splits into 2 single beds which was perfect for the girls. We each enjoyed a bedroom to ourselves. The terrace with the grand view of Paris was enjoyed a lot. We had great weather during our 8 day stay. The apartment is just minutes from the Gaite' metro station and grocery and bakery just across the street. A great location. The description and photos of the apartment online matched the apt. perfectly. After this experience I will be looking for apartments, rather than hotels, for all my future travels. The interaction we enjoyed with each other would have never happened had we chosen a hotel. The kitchen, dining area and living room were always in use. Don't miss your chance to stay at this fabulous apartment and the great service provided by Bernard, his staff and Holidays France Rentals Raveill 3/25/14
“Excellent accomodations and location”
The apartment, and the service provided in making arrangements prior to our arrival, were excellent. There was ample space for all 5 of us (3 adults and 3 children), comfortable sleeping arrangements, ease with the Internet, and a wonderful deck with a view of the city that was inspiring. The convenience of being near the Metro made travel within the city easy.
“Perfect Location and accomodation for Montparnasse Station”
We would highly recommend this apartment. We are a group of 4 women travelling together, so with three very comfortable bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it was perfect. Having the outside garden terrace and so much light and views of Paris and Sacre Couer was magical. The apartment really was a home away from home, unfortunately we only stayed 3 nights! The location was great, directly over the road from Gait ? Underground Station, and not even a 5 minute walk to Montparnasse Station. We also used our Day Pass on the Open Top Tour Bus to get us back to Montparnasse and a 5 minute walk back to the apartment. It is also a very short walk to the Edgar Guinot morning Fresh food market so we were able to stock up on breakfast goodies. Excellent booking service, driver pickup service from CDG, and warm welcome and assistance by aidan on our arrival ...we were very impressed with the total experience.
If you read the description provided for Montparnasse Duplex, it sounds almost too good to be true. It's not! It is that good. I went with my husband and 3 friends, and and it was nicer to stay in an apartment together than in 3 separate rooms in a hotel. We all loved it. It is very close to Gaité metro station and there are lots of restaurants nearby. Some basic supplies were also provided, including nespresso pods and a bottle of wine (alright, not so basic then). The view is breathtaking, we can't wait to go back in a better weather to fully enjoy the outdoor deck.
The apartment was modern, clean, quiet, well located and with breathtaking views across the city. What a find! I wish the weather was better for us to have enjoyed the outdoor terrace a little more, but that is the only regret. My colleagues and I enjoyed ourselves immensely in this apartment. The Nespresso coffee pods were also greatly appreciated.
“Close to everything”
Great apartment. Great location--close to the Metro, shops, and restaurants.
We were very close to the Montparnasse Gare which took us where ever we wanted to go. There were lots of shops, though not many were open on Sunday and lots of restaurants. We had a balcony and amazing views of Paris, and at the end of the street we could see the Eiffel Tower. The apartment is large with 3 bedrooms, the shower in the 2nd bathroom was small, but hey it's Paris and the rest of the space is great. The agents supplied basic supplies in the kitchen, which was very much appreciated and looked after us exceptionally well. I would highly recommend this apartment and Holiday France Rentals.
