“Home away from home with a better location!”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2014

The location is perfect, central to any direction you want to go and a short drive from the airport, stores, etc. The owners provided a beautiful, comfortable, and completely stocked condo. The living room was furnished with comfortable seating and a nice flat screen TV. The balcony was the perfect spot to have your morning coffee and watch whales. The kitchen was gorgeous, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, very nice dishes, flatware, every utensil you can imagine, and it was stocked with things like plastic wrap, salt and pepper, sugar, scissors, just about anything you would need. In the closet there were beach chairs, coolers, really nice and thick beach towels. The bathroom was decorated very tastefully as was the bedroom which had a large closet with laundry baskets, lots of hangers, and a safe. The condo was extremely clean and organized, a very comfortable place to stay in a very desirable location.

“Best rental condo ever!!!”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2013

We stayed in this condo for our honeymoon during a week (August 19-26) and it was, by far, the best condo we ever rented. The pictures don't lie, the view is just incredible and the condo itself, super luxurious. We had looked at the the previous reviews and had lots of hope for this rental and it didn't disappoint us. The location is great since it is near a few restaurants and it's in the middle of everything. We recommend this condo and will be back for sure. Thanks again for everything.

“Paradise!”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2013

We stayed in this beautiful condo in May 2013. This condo was perfect for us, and exceeded all of our expectations. It looks beautiful in the photos, and it is even more amazing and spacious in real life! The condo was completely spotless when we walked in, and our breath was taken away by the unforgettable ocean view. We ate every meal on the lanai- better view than any restaurant! The kitchen had everything we needed, and more. The location is perfect (very central Maui)- quiet ocean front property, and only a short drive to Lahina or Kihei. Great on-site bar b q facilities. We loved laying on the property beach chairs in the afternoon and watching the turtles that swim right up close to the shore. We have already re-booked this property for March 2014 and can't wait to go back this little piece of paradise. Deb, the property owner, was excellent to work with- very accommodating and helpful- excellent, prompt communication. Counting down the days until our next visit to this beautiful condo!

“Peaceful Honeymoon”

Reviewed 23 Aug 2013

My new husband and I recently stayed at Maalaea Kai 311 for our honeymoon. It was the most peaceful, serene, wonderful place to stay for our honeymoon. It had a great setup (so the breeze came through the house), beautiful view, and everything we needed (we love to cook and we had anything we needed). The owner is awesome! She was professional and accommodating all at the same time. There was coffee and chocolate mac nuts upon our arrival along with coupons for Beach Bums which was a great little bar/restaurant within walking distance. There were other places around too (the general store seemed to have a great deli even though we didn't eat there), but we really enjoyed Beach Bums. Pacific Whale foundation is in walking distance along with an aquarium. The only downside I could see (which we didn't because we were on our honeymoon) was that it was somewhat away (10 minutes) from anything big (grocery stores). We also really enjoyed walking the beach at night (almost all the way to nearby Kihei) which was not crowded by people. It seemed like our own private beach. On our last night wading in the water there were a couple of sea turtles on a feeding frenzy right in front of us! We did not want to leave!

“Amazing view, condo and location!”

Reviewed 1 Jan 2013

Our week on Maui was amazing. My husband and I stayed in this condo in July 2012. It was our 3rd time to Hawaii and first to Maui. We weren't sure what type of accommodations we could find in our budget after being spoiled by fancy 5 star resorts in Mexico that are 3x the cost in Hawaii. It took a long time to find a condo with ocean view as nice as this one in our budget. The owner, Debra, was very friendly and easy to work with via email and everything was perfect when we arrived. There were nice dishes, cookware, utensils and appliances along with basic needs like salt & pepper, cooking oil, paper towels, sandwich bags, water bottles, laundry detergent and more. The fridge was spotless, dishwasher handy, and counter space convenient. WiFi and TV was great to have. The bedroom was maybe the most basic part of the condo since you can't enjoy the gorgeous view. The bed was a little firmer than we were used to, but there several great pillows and blankets to make it cozy. There was plenty of closet space, and a few dozen hangers! There are plenty of nice beach towels but my tip to any beach traveler is to pack a bed sheet with you to keep the sand off your towels! The view from the lanai is one of the best! The lawn is beautifully manicured and the pool was always quiet and clean. I'm sure most people come and spend the day exploring, much like us, but it was nice to spend a few afternoons at a quiet pool. There isn't a beach in front of the complex, just a rocky wall, but with the tradewinds it was nice to lay out on the lawn without sand blowing everywhere. Overall the building exterior was dated and nothing fancy, but the lawn and condo itself was amazing. Parking is convenient, and we loved having a Jeep! Maalaea is very small, but there are a few good restaurants a short walk away. The central location between Kihei, Lahaina and Kahului made it convenient to go to any town in just a short drive. We know you'll love this place!

“Amazing View and Location”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2012

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this condo. Very spacious, loved the lanai (porch, spent a lot of mornings out there watching the ocean, and great location. All the amenities that one could want are in this condo. The condo grounds were very relaxing and peaceful as well.

“The perfect Hawaiian getaway!”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2012

Even before we walked into the condo we knew we were destined to have the perfect Hawaiian vacation. The location was ideal for us...a quiet street with little traffic, but with easy access to all Maui has to offer. Upon entering the condo, we discovered a newly renovated space with a lovely balcony and beautiful view of the water. The décor was tastefully done with all the amenities one would expect plus some. The bed was extremely comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, with updated appliances and countertops. The bath had a nice shower with an ample supply of towels. They even supplied beach towels and a small cooler for convenience on our day trips to the beach and the mountains. We also appreciated having internet service available. The owner checked in with us the first day to make sure all was okay and responded quickly to a call we made asking a question. The grounds and pool are impeccably kept. There are two barbeque grills for the condo community's use. These were steam cleaned every morning, which made their use very appealing. Laundry facilities were also well kept. Now the highlight for us...we could sit on the nice deck furniture and watch the whales swim right into the bay. A whale watching cruise is wonderful, but to sit in your own space and observe the behavior of these fascinating creatures is beyond description. We were also able to watch the sun come up from the balacony every morning. I wish we could return every year. We would arrange our dates to the availability of this condo. Yes, it was that great!

“Great Location”

Reviewed 14 Jun 2012

The condo was extremely clean and well appointed. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The lanai was one of the best features. It looked out towards Kihei and Molokini. We had just enough sun to be comfortable but not too much to be unable to sit out. We watched the whales as they were migrating. It was a spectacular show! We were also next door to the habour where the boats left on whale watching and snorkeling tours. The aquarium is also located in this harbour and is well worth a look. Location is also great because you are in the middle of the island. Go west towards Lahaina or east towards Kihei and upcountry is easy as well.
