We had such an wonderful time here! The cabin and location is just perfect! So many things close by to do! Like Zip Lining, Gem mining, and of course Grandfather Mountain is a must! The local dining was awesome too! We most definitely will be coming back here but next time I think we would like to stay longer :) If you are looking for a peaceful break with gorgeous scenery and fun things to do you must take the time to come here you will not be disappointed! Thank you for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful slice of mountain heaven!!

“Perfect cozy cabin with amazing location!”
The cabin exceeded my expectations. The location is so convenient and yet, feels remote and secluded. You get all the benefits of being tucked away high on a mountain but with easy access to all the local attractions. The cabin, itself, is warm and inviting and just lovely. It's beautifully decorated and stocked full of thoughtful touches to make your stay comfortable. We comfortably fit six adults and a toddler for a wonderful weekend stay. The owners went out of the way, before our stay, to make sure we had everything we needed to access the cabin, which I thought was above and beyond. One tiny note of warning, though - the road leading to the cabin is narrow and winding. I suggest getting there in daylight your first time. We had a hard time finding it in the dark our first night and it wasn't easy to find a place to turn around. That was pilot error, on our part, but something to keep in mind.
Response from the owner Thank you so much for your complimentary review!
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Love everything about it. Can't wait to go back.
“Quiet, secluded and perfect mountain get-away!!”
We have stayed in this cabin many times and each time we are so pleased and happy to be back in this great cabin. It's perfect for 2 couples since it has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths but also great for 2 families as there is a loft with additional beds. The cabin is furnished exactly like you would picture a mountain cabin should be Furnished--comfortable but very pleasing to the eye. We spend most of our time on the back porch looking at the beautiful view of the mountains. The Mcdowells have been wonderful to rent from and through the years have added Items--such as reading Lamps--when we've requested them. As we spend our time hiking and golfing the cabin is centrally located to the areas that we want to access. Even though the cabin does not have a/C the fans keep it sufficiently cool. We look forward to coming back to this cabin many more times.
