Description

Situated in the pretty seaside village of Saint-Jean-Le-Thomas, just 10 min. walk from the beach with great views of the spectacular Mont St. Michel.

There is a large open-plan kitchen and dining area, equipped with large double gas oven, a microwave oven, washing machine and 2 fridges.

The comfortable sitting area has a highly efficient wood-burning stove (logs provided) and a cosy reading/study area.

There are 5 bedrooms: On the ground floor there's a double room (with en suite bathroom). The 1st floor has 1 twin room and 2 rooms with bunk-beds, and a bathroom with shower over the bath. The spacious loft has 1 double and 2 single beds, great for families!

Outside there is a large covered dining area and a barbecue area.

There is Wi-Fi in the local bar (100 metres) and the tourist office.

Easily accessible from the ports of Caen or Cherbourg and with good bus links to Granville (20kms) and Avranches (15kms), the village has many local amenities, bars and restaurants.

Good family beaches can be found in Carolles (10kms) and Jullouville(15kms).

The bay of Mont St. Michel is host to as many as 2,000 visitors a day who enjoy the 17km guided walk from the coastline around St-Jean-Le-Thomas across the bay to the Mont, and back! We recommend this 'pilgrimage' to all of our guests as it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience!.

Our children loved it & we had a very relaxing time. It was a joy to cook in the kitchen and dine at the table flooded with natual light. An easy walk to the beach and the village. We didn't explore further afield, we didn't need to, we found everything we wanted in the house and nearby. There is a great BBQ area in the garden.
