Absolutely delightful. Orsi, the hostess, was very accommodating with our requests. Visitors from Ireland with a toddler. Easy for him to move about and place items out of his way. Lovely swing in the backyard so we enjoyed that. Large backyard for loads of activity. We Bbq'd and also found the bikes a good way to get about. Lovely stay..relaxing...quiet but close to the town and also for a drive to Niagara Falls. Thank You Orsi.

Response from the owner Thank you!

“A relaxing weekend stay at this charming and quaint little cotta”

Reviewed 24 Sep 2012

This was my 6th visit to Notl and the first stay in a cottage. Although I have always leaned toward the B&B; experience, this little cottage changed our whole weekend experience at Notl. At first sight, it was such a charming and inviting little cottage. The wine and chocolates certainly added to the welcome! We greatly appreciated the basic amenities in the kitchen and we thoroughly enjoyed making breakfast and then dining on the back porch/deck. We especially enjoyed and appreciated the flexibility to just linger at the table or in the living room just catching up on life. The cottage was exceptionally clean and organized and allowed for a very relaxing stay. My correspondence with Orsi was great. Orsi responded with promptness to my reservation inquiry and seemed delighted to answer any and every question that we had as we prepared for our annual girls weekend! Thank you. We look forward to a stay again in your sweet little cottage.

Response from the owner Thank you for staying at A Doll House Cottage and Thank You for a lovely review! I hope to see you again in the near future. Orsi

Gorgeous newly renovated cottage. Clean, cozy and comfortable. Beautiful backyard with patio and bbq. Close to town, within walking distance. Friendly owner who is more than willing to answer any questions regarding your stay. Bicycles provided for your convenience, short ride to Peller Estates Winery and many others. All around a great experience :)

“The perfect 'home away from home'”

Reviewed 19 Jul 2012

My husband, toddler, and I rented this cottage while we were participating in an 1812 re-enactment at Fort George (little guy is not ready for a tent)and we are thrilled that we did. The location was perfect- you could walk to all of Niagara-on-the-Lake's many attractions with ease. The cottage itself was adorable and comfortable-the little touches like coffee/tea, a complimentary bottle of local wine, and tourist brochures really made our stay that much better. The yard is huge and the patio is charming. The kitchen is set up nicely with all the tools needed to create meals at home. Our hostess saw to our every need, including providing a highchair and playpen for my little one, and she was not only professional but personable and friendly as well. The neighbors are wonderful and made us feel very welcome. We had an excellent time staying at this lovely little cottage and were sad to leave. We hope to come back soon and recommend this location wholeheartedly to families and couples alike.

“Neat little cottage in a beautiful Niagara on the Lake”

Reviewed 11 Jul 2012

The cottage is very neat, clean and well located to enjoy the lovely town. Bikes were provided which we used to go for coffee each morning. Town is an easy 1/2 - 3/4 mile walk past pretty homes and gardens. The cottage has a full kitchen (no dishwasher, not a problem for me) and nice covered deck where we ate most of our meals. Orsi, the very nice owner, provided us with some wonderful chocolates and a great bottle of wine from one of the dozens of local wineries. Niagara Falls is less than 30 minutes away on the beautiful parkway. There is also a paved walking/bike path all the way there.

Response from the owner Thank you kindly! I love your picture:)

“We loved our stay at a Doll House in Niagara on the Lake!”

Reviewed 7 Jul 2012

My boyfriend and I stayed at a Doll House, in Niagara-on-the-Lake for several days. The owner, Orsi, is a lovely person and made everything just perfect. We were greeted by immaculate cleanliness, a bottle of white wine, and every detail anticipated for our every potential need - down to toothpaste, shampoos, hair blower, and bicycles (!) so we could move easily about that most charming Canadian town, without the encumbrance of our vehicle and parking hassles. During our stay of three days, we took in six plays at the spectacular Shaw Festival. This theatre company is second to none in the world. A Doll House was our perfect haven and beautifully situated relative to the theatres, food shopping, and pleasant evening walks. The back yard is very long and very private. We loved sitting on the newly renovated balcony and enjoying our meals out there. We highly recommend a Doll House!

Response from the owner Thank you so much. I hope to see you again soon!

“The cutest little cottage I've ever stayed in.”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2012

A dollhouse cottage has a homelike feel to it and is very comfortable to stay in. The backyard is big and shaded and is great for kids to play in while you prepare a barbeque dinner. I strongly recommend this cottage. Jonny Olausson Sweden

“A cozy place to stay”

Reviewed 6 Jun 2012

This little cottage is centrally located and perfect for two to three people(two bedrooms, one smaller) The home was clean and neat and the owner was available if there were any needs. Enjoyed being on our own to explore the community, and also being so close to the bakery, we were there every day. Would love to return to Niagara on the Lake - a lovely community with lots to do for adults - more for children in Niagara Falls. A perfect time of year to visit in May as well as it is quieter than in the summer. We took in winery tours, Niagara Falls, shopping and a show at the Shaw Festival.

“Clean and comfortable.”

A nice place, clean, nicely decorated, comfortable furniture and beds. Close to downtown and the theatre. Well equipped for making simple meals. Quiet, pleasant back yard. No air conditioning - not a problem in May. Very friendly service, flexible with timing of check-in/check-out. Recommended!

Response from the owner Thank you kindly for your review. We do have a window unit air conditioner that we have installed last week as the weather was getting very hot.
