“Amazing Honeymoon”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2016

My husband and I stayed at Casa de las Cupulas for our honeymoon. It was absolutely amazing! The island itself is gorgeous with breath taking sunrises and sunsets, and to be able to rent out this home on the island, made it even more wonderful. The house was kept clean daily by the staff. The grounds were pristine and the pool was always clean and free of any leaves. There are hammocks out by the pool to lounge in, wonderful pool chairs to lay in with umbrellas for shade, and a comfortable hanging bed with netting around it to keep bugs away. The pool also features a swim up bar and a tanning ledge to lay on. There is a patio out by the pool with a cover that includes a sink and counter top space. The owner, David, always kept in touch and answered any questions we had. He also recommended activities for us to do and provided us with instructions. He was very accommodating the entire trip and always made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Amira, the cook, was amazing! Each meal we had was delicious. One of our favorite meals was the garlic and lemon shrimp. It was the best shrimp we ever had. There was always fresh salsa, guacamole, and pico de gallo with lunch. Every day was wonderful and full of excitement. There are many things to enjoy on the island including the temple that is just a short walk from the house. There is a beach club that is also a short walk away from the house that includes zip lining, snorkeling, and kayaking. We recommend renting a golf cart at least for one day while on the island to visit the north side to go to the beach and visit some of the restaurants there. We ate at a delicious Mediterranean style restaurant, Olivia. We highly recommend eating there one night of your stay! If you are looking to relax and have the perfect getaway, we highly recommend staying at Casa de Las Cupulas!

“The Ideal Island Get-Away”

Reviewed 14 Mar 2015

We've had the pleasure of an annual holiday to the magical Isla Mujeres for the past few seasons. The feeling of joy on my return to Casa De Las Cupulas from the highway seldom matched at any point in the year. Memories of days lounging at the pool, and watching the sunsets from the roof are some of my favorites. Between the home's layout, interior design, top notch cooking and the attentive home owner, Case De Las Cupulas is the "real deal" in Island Luxury getaways. I have visited this remarkable villa with different groups and the home seems to perfectly suit all needs. David, the owner, does an excellent job asking for exactly what our party needs, and stays in contact thru out your stay to assure your stay is a wonderful experience. Amira the cook prepares the best breakfasts and lunches on the island. Make sure to try the orange liquor french toast! Overall, I would recommend Casa de Las Cupulas to all who seek rest, relaxation, attention to detail and luxurious comfort.

“The perfect relaxing getaway”

Reviewed 24 Feb 2015

The house and property are even more impressive than they appear in the pictures. The spaces, both indoor and outdoor, are very well designed for socializing and relaxing. This, combined with the food prepared by the chef, made the entire experience feel joyful and effortless. It's clear a lot of thought and energy has been put into creating the experience Casa de las Cupulas provides. Renting a moped in town is highly recommended. It's a fun way to tour the island and visit the nearby sculpture garden and the clubs and beaches as the other end of the island. One of the highlights of my trip was playing tennis and then taking a dip in the pool. I can't recommend this rental enough and very much look forward to visiting again!

“What more could one ask?”

Everything about this villa is well thought out. Located slightly off the beaten tourist path, Casa de las Cupulas is located on the island of Isla Mujeres, a short ferry ride from Cancun, Mexico. The island itself is a quaint, friendly place with warm white beaches on one side and dramatic cliffs on the other where the Caribbean surf crashes constantly. The villa is located on the sparsely populated southern part of Isla within walking distance of the Mayan ruins which stand on the southernmost tip. The elevated stone patio within the walls of Casa is an ideal place to sip coffee while watching the sun rise over the Caribbean. The architecture, furnishings, and decor of Casa de las Cupulas are beautiful, interesting, and unique, creating an atmosphere of relaxation. The greatest feature of this place, however, is the service provided by David (the owner) and the staff. Amira, the cook/housekeeper, prepared wonderful dishes for us daily. everything she served was made from scratch, including an endless supply of guacamole, pico, fresh squeezed orange juice, and fresh fruit. evening meals were works of art. I spoke to David daily and his advice about the island - what to do, where to go, who to call, was invaluable. I called him several times and he never missed answering his phone. I was with a prty of ten, and the villa accommodated us generously without ever feeling crowded. To summarize, there are not enough stars to rate the quality of this place.

“Beautiful!”

We had our wedding on the island. Everything was perfect! The owner was very accommodating, even going out of his way to help with wedding plans. The house and housekeeper/cook were outstanding. We were definitely spoiled!!

Incredibly mexican breakfast & delicious lunch prepared by amira the cook. Went out for dinner into town. House was impecable they really make you feel at a luxury home just for you & fam. The heated pool with bar. Incredible views to the ocean. Experienced the most amazing Sunrises every morning and Sunset. Easy strools & jogging 15 min into town. It is located in the niicest part of the isla Mujeres. Which was excellent . The owner is very helpfull if you need anything. And the sky at night is one of the most memorable . This house is really your moneys worth in every detail. Rooms outdoor luxury food you name it they have it. I'm going back anytime

“Privacy and Serenity”

Reviewed 17 Feb 2014

This gorgeous home provides an amazing setting to enjoy the beautiful island of Isla Mujeres. The house provides many personal and creative design touches. I especially loved all the art that decorated the rooms. The architecture both inside and outside of the home is breathtaking. We were able to start our days by waking up to expansive sunrises at the Mayan Temple, then enjoy some tennis on the private court (rackets and balls were generously available to us), cool off in the pool, and relax to music in the hammocks surrounding the pool. The sound system, which works both inside and outside the home, was wonderful and very easy to operate. The pool was heated to a perfect temperature and the palapa provided a chance for shade when we wanted it. The food was delicious and I enjoyed at least 15 different vegan dishes that were thoughtfully prepared by the cook and housekeeper, Amira. It was exciting to see which new dishes she created each day! I most enjoyed eating our meals outside under the palapa listening to the breeze, birds, and crashing ocean waves. Manuel ensured that the property was very well maintained and safe at all hours of the day and night. It was also special to share the space with the loving and gentle family animals, Guapo and Latifa. We took advantage of the beautiful weather by walking along the ocean and hunting for seashells, taking moped rides in to town, relaxing on the beach, and taking photos at the sculpture garden on Punta Sur. The home's location on the south point of the island provides a serene environment and privacy to truly enjoy the beauty of this magical island. I had my first opportunity to enjoy a romantic and restful sleep outside in the hanging bed. It was exhilarating to see countless stars and a full moon through the canopy around the bed. I had such a restful and relaxing vacation. I will be back next year for sure!

“Heaven!”

Arriving in isla you see a quaint small town, unlike Cancun, that seams very hectic and busy. The ferry ride is short but gorgeous. You are surrounded with turquiose water. Casa de las Cupulas was amazing. The iron gates are pieces of art opening to a tropical sculptured yard, with flowers everywhere. The house feels glamorous with all of the tile and marble floors, incredible artwork and a diningroom table that would be perfect for a Thanksgiving feast for a very large family. . . seats 16. On the front porch you can have a sumptuous breakfast overlooking the Carribean. Amira, the housekeeper/cook fixes local fruits and any request for any meals. Also, the house is spotless. Thr bedrooms all have their own air-conditioning units to program to your own temperature. The heated pool with wet bar is good for lunch or a midnight dip with the one you love. There is also a hanging bed with a mosquito net that you car look at the stars at night and have a glass of wine. Every morning, while cool, hitting some volleys at the tennis court is a fun way to get some excercise after breakfast. There is a sculpture garden and Mayan ruin less than 300 yards away. Two sweet dogs live outside and taking them for a walk along the cliffs was nice. Myself and my friends were very happy to be there and will definitely come back. Makes you not want to leave.

“Wonderfull Family Vacation”

Reviewed 28 Apr 2012

The home and grounds were perfect accommodations for our two families. The children ages 7 -10 stayed in the wonderful guest house steps from the main home . The adults chose from three bedrooms all with private bathrooms and stone domed ceilings. We were served outstanding local and american cousine for breakfast and lunch either by the pool or at a 14 person dining room table also with a lighted domed ceiling. Amalia and Manquel helped with all of our needs even though the language barrier was evident. We enjoyed playing tennis, swimming in a very warm pool, running, and Snorkeling at a private beach within walking distance. David was very gracious and checked in on us to ensure our stay was pleasant. I would recommend this property for families wanting to focus on enjoying time in the son and having daily meals prepared to local perfection. The property includes all amenities needed except onsite access to a washer and dryer.
