Get away to the mountains, sun, fresh air, tranquility living in a comfortable home surrounded by pines looking out on a tranquil scene and the mountains. Summer here has so much to offer. Pagosa is a slow paced authentic and still - friendly - western town with great hot springs and outdoor activities year around. Stay at our Rocky Mountain family home- and feel at home. The autumn "Indian summer" is spectacular and a very pleasant time to be in our area.

Wind in the softly swaying pines is an unforgettable sound; in winter the silence of snow. Revel the feel of peacefulness, gaze on the mountains - and unwind. Our roomy, spacious comfortable and well-furnished home welcomes you, dappled light filters in from the floor to ceiling windows; this is a modern yet characteristic mountain home custom designed and built to our specifications and decorated with original artwork, the fireplace is a work of art in itself.

SHOPPING, restaurants and the Fairfield shopping complex are minutes away yet you still have a feel of being secluded and surrounded by nature. We are 2 miles east of the Fairfield shopping complex. The PAGOSA SPRINGS area is beautiful in all seasons and our small Rocky Mountain town offers so many activities year 'round.

We a 10 minute drive or less from the town center, 35 minutes from beautiful breathtaking Wolfcreek pass and the slopes.

Relax on deck in the summer or by the fireside in winter and enjoy the views of the San Juans. The winter air is dry and crisp, the snow light and fluffy! We are THREE miles WEST of the town of Pagosa, 1 mile from the highway - good access.

Plenty of PRIVACY and distance from neighboring houses. This is a house with character and family history, originally built in 1976, remodeled in 1994 and kept in good condition. Feel at home in spacious rooms-open plan, with open loft and cathedral ceiling.

If you enjoy walking, the backroad, 3 mile walk is really nice and takes less than 1.5 hrs, walking slowly.

Our house is constructed of pine and cedar, in western style, with taste and flair; the custom-built, river-rock fireplace flanked by the large windows and window seat dominates a comfortable living room (two Lazyboys and an over-stuffed couch). A loft with couch overlooks the living room. Central heating keeps the temperature very comfortable throughout.

The KITCHEN was built with the active chef in mind. The cooking top is a gas Jenn-air, there is a full size oven, microwave, small convection/pizza oven, coffee maker, and dishwasher. This is a modern fully outfitted kitchen, with all you need for meal preparation. We supply basic supplies such as paper towels, cleaning supplies, salt and pepper.

Every month in Pagosa is wonderfu life here is still... real.

Four adults can be accommodated in two spacious bedrooms, one queen downstairs, one queen upstairs. The master bath has a jetted tub with shower. The other bathroom has a shower.

All rooms are open and airy, the loft is a beautiful place to sit and read, and gaze over the San Juans.

INCLUDED IN YOUR STAY: long distance calling within the USA; INTERNET - WIFI, FLAT SCREEN TV , DVD and ROKU TV (Netflix can be added)

NO PETS, SORRY. Mud is a big problem with pets; we do not have an indoor cleaning area and the garage is not heated for a pet to stay in.

This is a NO SMOKING house, inside OR out ANYWHERE Any violation of these rules will cause the renter to lose the TOTAL damage deposit.

FIREPLACE USE: There is a modest fee for the use of the fireplace and wood, please let me know when you make your booking request if you would like to use the fireplace.

Due to fire hazard we can make available our electric outdoor grill for a small added fee.

Please note that arrival and departure times must be arranged at least one week prior to your stay. *CHECK IN TIME: PLEASE NOTE Check in is between 2 pm and 6 pm. STRICT POLCY: NO CHECK IN AFTER 6PM.
