“Fantastic time at Casa anjali in Manuel antonio, Costa Rica! Pur”
12 in our group stayed at Casa anjali - loved it! The house is large w/ all amenities and a perfect setting/view and infinity pool looking out to the ocean. The Concierge for Casa anjali was excellent and arranged most of our excursions and dinners out for us. The maids did a great job cleaning daily. Casa anjali's location is ideal, near much to do (beach, National Park, Wildlife Sanctuary, restaurants, shops, excursions, etc.) We would go on excursions then relax poolside. Most dinners we dined out and found the Costa Rican food to be delicious. Excursions we did: kayaking in the mangroves, Atving in countryside/mountains, fishing, seeing the butterfly sanctuary, partying on the Ocean King catamaran at the nearby marina, seeing dolphins and a whale on that excursion. (zip lining is big there and some in our group did that, too.) Next time we would take a small plane from San Jose airport into Quepos and get a driver to take to the house. The rental car experience near airport was a nightmare and the expense was crazy. Excursions usually pick up at Casa anjali anyway so car not needed much. Can get taxis easily also in Manuel antonio. The drive is about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs. and very challenging! Highly recommend to either take a "puddle jumper" or hire a driver. Lastly, in my opinion...you should not be afraid of monkeys. Go to Manuel antonio for the water excursions, land excursions, food, and fun! Pura Vida!
It took us months and countless properties to view before deciding on anjali. When we arrived, we knew that we had made the right decision. We had our wedding at the beach and our party at the villa. Beautiful location and comfortable house with amazing views from every corner of it. Plenty of wild life around the house.( we saw more animals in the trees around the house than during the tour at the national park) While in Manuel antonio, we saw many of the other villas that we had considered and we were always glad that we chose anjali. We are very picky people but we can't say anything negative about this house. Hope to be back soon.
Our three generation family of 12, ranging in age from 2 1/2 to 79, spent a glorious New Year 2014 week at Casa anjali. Excellent service, starting with concierge Susan who set us up with two most enjoyable nights of Chef Desiree and her staff. Susan also arranged our Vacation Buggy Tour to the Rain Forest, our Mangrove Swamp Tour, and our Dolphin Tour. I would say our only problem was getting the children out of the pool so we could enjoy the surroundings. The daily cleaning staff was excellent. The location is within walking distance of many restaurants. We chose to drive to the National Park entrance and to the beach. All in all, it was a truly delightful and memorable family vacation. We arranged our booking through VisitMyVilla.com (Michael Cunningham) of Chicago.
The house was even more beautiful than the pictures. We did have Chef Guido and he was great and the food was delicious. The only issue was the very steep hill to enter the property. I would have probably gone out to explore a little more if I didn't have to climb that hill to go out. But the house itself was gorgeous. We would definitely come back again!!!
“Tropical and Peaceful”
Beautiful home and surroundings. We felt very secluded and away from everyone even though we were in town. But we loved the privacy. Our entire family loved having a chef come in and prepare our meals. Would recommend some type of aTV to transport moms with babies to the top of the hill.
“Our summer stay”
We were there with a group of 3 families (6 adults and 7 kids) and found the house amazing. We usually stay in hotel resorts but thought we would try something different. The House was beautiful, loved the daily maid service including laundry, but Susan was our personal concierge and was amazing. Our biggest reservation in staying in a house vs hotel was having somebody help us with recommendations and just getting around town. Susan took care of everything from dinner reservations, lining up a personal chef, calling taxis for us to setting up all of our daily activities and transportation (Deep Sea Fishing, Zip Lining, Surf Lessons, Guided tours in the park, etc). She was there whenever we called, so her service combined with the absolute nicest house in Costa Rica made the trip memorable and fantastic!! Highly recommended staying there. Avoid Lunar charters for fishing. Over priced and hardley fished at all as they had to catch bait which they could not do.
“It's like a nature program, but in real life, from poolside.”
Casa anjali is a beautiful place, and a wonderful home base. It's very comfortable. There's plenty of privacy, but you're close to beaches, parks, and adventures. My favorite was that there was so much wildlife around Casa anjali. Our family was hoping to see animals during our trip - we saw plenty - during breakfast, while we were lounging by the pool, etc. I've been showing off pictures from our vacation. People say, "You saw a toucan?" I say, "yeah, the kids saw him while they were playing in the pool." Or, "Where did you see a howler monkey?"...I say, "That picture was taken from our driveway." I focus on the wildlife because that's what I love. There are many other benefits/comforts to Casa anjali. It worked out great for our family adventure.
“Amazing Vacation Experience”
The home is just as beautiful as the pictures reflect and the surroundings are simply amazing with the views and the sounds of the monkeys, birds and other native animals. Inside the house has spacious well appointed bedrooms with gorgeous full bathrooms. The living areas have it all and the pool is perfect. And as if that's not enough, the services of your personal chef and your conciere Susan will handle everything else. After arrival, I was so thrilled with the place that I surprised my niece with arrangements to join us on our vacation and Susan handled it all for me with ease. You will be a hero with your family and/or friends if you book Casa anjali!
