“Tropical Paradise”

Reviewed 22 Jan 2015

My family and I Stayed at Mr. Ed's condo at Blind Pass Condo's for the first time in June of 2014. We had never been to Sanibel before this stay. We were looking for something that wasn't going to be overly populated since we wanted to spend time with our kids before they were leaving for college (Do the family thing). When we got there we were pleasantly surprise at how roomy the condo actually was. Very clean and everything you could possibly need to the beach (Chairs, towel, umbrella, cabana tent, toys for beach, and cart for hauling all your stuff to the beach!!!!!). We absolutely loved the grounds. Tennis courts were great, pool was gorgeous and very well taken care of. The access to the canal by canoe was great!!!! We explored the canal and were treated to two adult manatees and a baby one (amazing)!!! The condo has books, puzzles, and games. The grocery stores on the island were not very expensive, so we stayed on the island the whole time. The bike trails were very nice. Mr. Ed was very easy to talk with (ex. any question about Sanibel) he will direct you very happily. We will definitely be planning our next stay with Mr. Ed.

“Great stay”

Service - excellent; cleanliness - excellent; value - excellent (you get the picture...) Very nice place to stay - grounds are very well kept. Pool - very nice. Kayaks & canoes, tennis courts all available for use. Beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, beach towels all available for beach use. Tv & cable - lots of books to read, puzzles & games available too. Ed was very easy to work with - really appreciated! Sanibel is like a little slice of heaven and to have a room to go with that - very nice. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for an affordable place to stay on Sanibel.

“comfortable, clean, peaceful and superb location.”

The condo is set in lovely tropical surroundings. It feels very private and peaceful. The condo itself is a little tired but that didn't detract from our enjoyment. Very pleased that the twin room's bathroom had a walk-in shower. The master bathroom had a shower over bath but was fully screened. It was great not to have to contend with a shower curtain . The beds were very comfortable. The sofas were extremely comfortable as were the dining room chairs. Plenty of crockery and cutlery. Very close to the pool but we didn't have time to make use of it, spending most of the time on the lovely pristine beach. There were plenty of kayaks to use and the tennis courts were popular. The walk to the beach was enjoyable, spotting cardinals near the car ports , herons and great egrets on the bayou and osprey and millipedes on the final sand path. The beach was almost empty at 7:00am. We found lots of lightening whelks, fighting conchs, nutmegs, banded tulips, lettered olives, apple murex, horse conchs, turbans, little wentletraps, tusk shells and rice olives. A few lace murex, crown conchs, sharks eyes, babies ears, periwinkles, cones, worm snails, sharp ribbed drills, figs, pear whelks and tinted cantharus. Also found a 1 inch piece of junonia and a colourful moonsnail. Basicly fab shelling. Saw dolphins one day. On the way back we were able to wash wi the sand off ourselves with a hose. Ed made the booking simple. Great place to stay, wish I was still there!

“Our family thoroughly enjoyed the natural settings of Bowman's B”

The unit was nicely furnished and the staff at Blind Pass were very accomodating. The condo unit had everything we would have wanted to enjoy our beach and recreational experience at the Blind Pass. The kids loved the free access to kayaks on the intercoastal waterway while we relaxed at the beach or pool. The short walk across a bridge to Bowman's Beach was breathtaking and we saw lots of wildlife and seashells throughout our stay.

“Excellent Value!”

Our time spent here was wonderful. Since our 2 young grandchildren joined us for a week of our stay we really appreciated the portacrib, high chair, stroller, toddler bed and beach toys. The pool is amazing and the (gas) grilling area helps you save a few bucks by cooking out. Internet access is available, the beach is just a very short walk, no linen or cleaning fees, and the owner (Ed) even call and checks in shortly after your arrival to make sure all your needs are met. For your money you will not find a better slice of paradise!

“Great family condo!!”

We stayed at Ed's condo at Blind Pass (and yes, his rate is a great deal there) and we had our best vacation at Sanibel so far. The condo is spacious, well equipped and loaded with beach toys, chairs, umbrellas...even a wagon to haul all your gear to the beach. The beds were comfy and since I have a bad back, that was huge. I slept well every night. We were close to the pool which is awesome as it is the best pool by far on Sanibel. Our boys made friends with other kids and everyone had a great time. there is an area behind the club house where there are gas grills. We would cook our meals there and so would others so it became a gathering place and also a place to make new friends. the beach is next to Bowman's beach which is the best beach on Sanibel. so, not only do you have a great, reasonable condo, the best pool and also the best beach. Cannot go wrong! we plan on returning and as our boys said... "this was the best vacation ever!" (and our family is well traveled)
