“Great place for our Honeymoon.”
This house is absolutely beautiful, as soon as we drove in the driveway we were amazed. Makes you feel like your in the middle of nowhere yet you are still close to town. The whole place makes you feel at home. Feeling relaxed and stress free as soon as you walk through the door. Maz is a dream to deal with and helpful in all areas. We loved the quirky decorations, especially the old school telescope, telephone and radio, and the kitchen was an absolute dream! I also cannot leave a review without mentioning the incredible spa room which was definitely the most used room during our stay. I also love the message left for us on the board by the back door so personalised. We will definitely be returning soon to enjoy this sanctuary once more and recommending Annica to everyone we know. I wish to own a house like Annica one day, absolutely beautiful thanks again Maz xx
It is always special when a rental matches,or in this case exceeds your expectations, which was our experience here. The house is equipped to a very high standard, the outlook superb and it caters well for a number of guests. As we rent many apartments and houses during a year it is often the individuality of a particular house that resonates with us,and Annicca stands out handsomely on this criterion. It is wonderful to appreciate the character of the owner through both the building and the eclectic small touches evident throughout. The house is well situated for explorations of the local countryside and towns, and it is lovely to return to such comfort at the end of the day. Pre dinner drinks and another round of snooker world championships just added to the quality of the experience. Bravo the owner for such attention to detail.
““Magical place to relax the spirit and rejuvenate the mind!””
We just got back from a 3 day break at Annicca Chalet in Denmark. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome and right at home in our gorgeous chalet amidst the forest. The chalet is absolutely beautifully appointed with all the luxuries that make a holiday special. The chalet is spacious with an extremely comfortable bed, large bathroom with a huge jacuzzi spa bath and walk in shower. The kitchen is well equipped with all good quality fittings and kitchen equipment. The location is fantastic as the property is set in amongst the tall trees over looking the ocean and on a sunny day you can sit on the deck with a glass of wine, listen to sounds of the forest and not see or hear anyone else. Marian's attention to detail is excellent & it is evident that great care is taken to ensure a pleasant break for her guests. Strongly recommended for anybody wanting to visit Denmark or just wanting time away from the hustle and bustle of regular life!!!
“A perfect getaway...”
We stayed at Annicca for 2 nights in WA's springtime. Tucked away in its own grounds, the house is private and secluded. The place is timber built with 3 bedrooms with the master suite upstairs. There's lots of windows, including those in the spa room, looking out into the bush that have no blinds or curtains. At first that can seem a little confronting, especially in the spa room, but that soon passes. The master bedroom is huge and includes a small ensuite plus a massive TV. There's a balcony that has views over the wood land towards Wilson Inlet. While the windows are curtained (blinds behind the bed), the skylight isn't so the room is illuminated at sun up. The kitchen is impressive; if you can't find what you need, you probably don't need it. There's plenty of seating in the living area and there's an 8ft (2.44m) pool table. There's also a wood burning stove whose stove pipe provides warmth to the master bedroom. The spa room... it'd well equipped having a large shower and the largest spa bath I've seen. The latter is definitely designed for sharing but a word to the wise... it takes a while to fill to the recommended level so plan ahead. The water for the property is sourced from rainwater tanks and in spa sized quantities has a brown-ish tinge. Nothing to worry about, it's just tannins. Elsewhere on the property there's areas to chill out, have a BBQ or have stroll round the gardens. While Annicca can accommodate up to 8, we would recommend going as a couple and enjoy all the space and that massive spa. Annicca is a fabulous, out of the way, place to unplug (only Telstra stands a chance here) and unwind. We hope to return...
I recently stayed at Annica and it was just as described - a welcoming and comfortable home presented with obvious care and attention to detail - the home is beautifully designed and perfect for families or a group of friends, with an incredibly well-equipped kitchen and delightful dining areas for sharing a meal. There are great spaces to sit and read, indulge in a spa, or play games or pool without the interruptions of busy lives left in the city! The home provides the perfect setting to enjoy the local surroundings, close to Denmark town and just a short trip to stunning beaches and bushwalks. Would definitely recommend spending a few days here!
“Idyllic bliss in the Demark bush”
The gravel driveway up to Annicca is like a bush cathedral of trees and sets the scene for the lovely jarrah and glass house. Inside is as beautiful as outside and there are picture window views of the bush from every part of the house. The kitchen is well equipped and we found everything we needed including a dishwasher that works! The whole house was very clean and beds were comfortable with lovely clean linen provided. The surroundings were lush, the house was amazing and the silence was bliss. Would stay again in a heart beat!
“Oh How I Have Missed This Place”
We returned to Annica for a weekend with the girls, it was just as we remembered. I had been sick for the previous few weeks and it was just lovely to go and chill and feel so totally relaxed. A quick trip to Denmark that is so nice and close for Saturday morning shopping, then back for the rest of the weekend. It is lovely knowing that the only thing you need to take is your food and alcohol as everything else is there. We lit the fire and played alot of the games that were there. Even the spa was used and made all of us feel refreshed. This was our fourth time back and I know for sure it won't be our last.
“Such a wonderful place to stay for a get away”
Once again Annicca welcomed us and gave us a great place to stay for a girls crafting weekend. There is heaps of room to spread out all our material and equipment, and we were able to get lots of crafting done. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped with everything we needed, and the welcoming bottle of wine was well appreciated. The teenaged daughter loved the spa, with it's relaxing bush view. Maz and Sue made sure we had everything we wanted or needed, and welcome any suggestions or feedback. Thanks again girls!
Lovely quirky house with extreme serene suroundings. Our second stay, and we cannot wait to return. Thanks Maz!!
Annicca is a wonderfully quirky house set in the gorgeous bush just outside Denmark. It is close enough to town to duck out for coffee or dinner, but far enough that you feel the peace and seclusion of the bush. This is the second time we have stayed at this property and we were not disappointed, Sue and Marian have done an amazing job of making you feel at home the minute you walk in the door; little things like a welcome message by the door, a fire already lit and crackling away make Annicca a very special place. The good points The kitchen is very well stocked and is a pleasure to cook in. The down stairs bathroom is my favourite feature of this house, the spa is a little piece of heaven on earth. My hubby loves the pool table The bad points I find that the house is a little dark for me (as in i would have extra lights)- but this is purely a personal preference. Denmark in one of our favourite places in Western Australia and staying in Annicca makes it even better, we can wait to come back, Thanks Marian and Sue
