“Pleasant, Hassle Free Stay”

Reviewed 22 May 2015

Stayed for 3 nights. Its 10 mins by tram from central station/dam square. Less than 100 meters from Heineken brewery and within a km radius of museum square. Apartment was incredibly small yet nice & well decorated. Bed is small (single) & no mirrors in bathroom; two big disadvantages. Considering we booked it just 10 days before our travel date, the deal was good. Though its extremely well connected to all parts of the cities through buses and trams, still, during our next visit to Amsterdam we would prefer to stay nearer to the city centre or popular canal areas. Owner was very helpful with directions and advises. As mentioned in the other reviews the house is indeed full with owner's belongings. Kitchen is fully equipped and was very much useful to us.

“perfect week in amsterdam”

Reviewed 7 Oct 2013

the location is perfect for visiting central town or museum areea; easy acces, the tram si 100 m away; pleanty of restauranta around, a supermarket is just in the back of Heienken Experience; the apartment is very confortable and pleasent, very clean and wiht all facilities there; no miror in the bathroom, have a small one at hand for shaving

“Unbeatable location -- in someone else's house!”

Reviewed 5 May 2012

Granted, we started late in looking for an apartment on the busiest weekend in amsterdam, so we were excited that this flat was available, especially right on a canal. The apartment is one large room that takes up the entire second floor, and it has been very cleverly divided into living/dining area, kitchen area, and bedroom with the bath enclosed in the center. The owner was very accommodating of us, considering that our flight didn't arrive at Schipol until 22:00, but he met us at the flat, showed us the details, and then departed. It wasn't until after he left that we realized that this is not a rental unit that he happens to own -- it's his actual home, complete with his food in the fridge, clothing in the closets, toiletries in the bathroom, and bathrobe hanging on the back of the door! It was a little bizarre to be staying in a stranger's space -- quite different than hanging out in your friend's flat while she's out of town. That said, the place was spotless and as noted, the location and canal view were unbeatable. Word to the wise: the bed is adequate for two, but just barely.

“Stayed in this incredible place on the Keizers canal in amsterda”

Reviewed 5 Apr 2012

Stayed in this incredible place on the Keizers canal in amsterdam, sitting in the window and watching the boats and the people go by. Its classy. Very romantic with just the two of us. Location is amazing, everything is really in walking distance, some great restaurants. Had lunch at George on Rembrantsplein. Prefer a spacious apartment like this where we can make our own coffee and breakfast instead one of those small hotel rooms. Will def. come back.
