Description
Villa Mori is an 17th century country estate set in a charming rural position 3 km. from the beautiful medieval city of Lucca. The villa itself is nearing the final stages of restoration and the outbuildings now provide accommodation of the highest standard – with beautifully preserved features including original ‘cotto’ tiled floors, internal stone staircase, exposed beams and much more. All of the rooms are furnished and decorated to complement the rustic original Tuscan charm, using an eclectic mix of traditional and modern and a stunning palette of jewel-like colour.
The apartments of the ‘Casa Rossa’, so-called because of its delightful Tuscan red exterior, offer independent accommodation for from 2 to 6 guests or can provide an excellent option for larger groups and families wanting some privacy at night with the opportunity for shared living during the day. During the high season (July to the end of September) Villa Mori is only available for large group rental – prices available on request.
The outside pergola is adorned with a mature wisteria, offering a perfect location for ‘al fresco’ dining. There is also a barbeque and children’s play area. The beautiful fully-equipped kitchens in each apartment include microwave and dishwasher and all apartments have air conditioning, wi-fi internet connection, satellite TV and safe boxes. There are laundry facilities and ample covered parking.
Villa Mori and the ‘Casa Rossa’ are set in a beautiful garden of 8,000 sq. meters with superb swimming pool and spectacular water feature, hydro massage and lounge area. The pool is constantly filtered and disinfected with salt water. From this wonderful garden you can enjoy the views of the hills, olive groves and acacia woods that make the Lucchese countryside such a joy.
Lucca itself offers much to explore and is a convenient distance from the home comforts of Villa Mori. From Lucca, train connections or motorway access allow further discovery of all that Tuscany has to offer – Florence (airport 70 km) and Siena to the east and south and Pisa (airport 20 km) and the sea resorts of the Versilia to the northwest. Villa Mori is 20 minutes drive from the beach of Viareggio.

“Great place for a family or friends get together”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Mori. The gardens and pool are beautiful, comfortable beds, spacious apartments on the outskirts of Lucca.
