Spacious, luxuriously furnished, upscale apartment located in the heart of historic downtown Newport on the second floor of the Anna Pell House (circa 1870) across from the award winning Grace Vanderbilt Hotel. The unit has two bedrooms (a master bedroom with a queen sized bed, and a second bedroom with a twin daybed and pull-out trundle that can be pushed together to make a queen); gourmet eat-in kitchen; large living room with a full sleeper sofa, open beams and fireplace; and full bath.

The 1250 square feet, second floor residence has a large living room/dining area that is perfect for social get togethers. Please note that although we want our guests to enjoy their vacations, we are not a "party house".

The Anna Pell House rental apartment is light and airy with amenities that include: private entrance, one off-street parking space, hardwood floors, washer/dryer, WiFi, flat screen TV, air conditioning, ceiling fans, ample closets, storage space, and smart DVD. Enjoy the ambiance of Newport's sunrises and sunsets in the privacy of the apartment or in the award-winning garden.

Our downtown location is ideal to easily enjoy the many aspects of the city that make Newport such a sought after vacation destination - the Historic Hill district, museums and galleries, Thames Street, downtown, and Broadway. You can find many of the best restaurants and city highlights within easy walking distance, including the ferry to Fort Adams.

Specifically, we are one block from Thames Street; a 2-5 minute walk to many shops & restaurants. Easy walking distance to Newport's historic attractions, fine dining facilities, theaters, parks, shopping, libraries, and farmers' market. Commuting options include access to public transportation and convenient biking around town, to area beaches, and the Ocean Drive. Short bike ride or commute to Naval Station Newport, the Naval War College, and Salve Regina University.

Park your car in the driveway upon arrival as all of these events along with everything downtown has to offer are easily accessible via walking, public transportation and water taxi. Neighborhood attractions include: Newport's renowned historic attractions, fine dining facilities, theaters, parks, shopping, libraries, and farmers' market.

My husband and I live on the first floor of the Anna Pell House and are available if guests have questions or need assistance. We take great pride in our property and maintain it in impeccable condition. We are very responsive to our tenants' needs. We deal with all of our guests' requirements, inquiries and needs directly – from key exchanges, cleaning, repairs, and anything in between. Our property is fully furnished and has all the amenities of home.

We expect our guests to treat the premises with care & respect. We want our guests to enjoy their vacations, but we are not a "party house".

Low key get-togethers, celebrations, anniversaries, etc for small groups (6 or less) are a good fit for the Anna Pell House. Bachelor/Bachelorette parties are not a good fit for this property.

The Anna Pell House is a no smoking premises including vaping & ecigarettes.

We don't accept pets (see rental agreement for details).

How do damage deposits work?
