“Lovely, cozy & clean villa in park forest 4 minutes from Diocletian's palace”

Reviewed 9 Nov 2014

I was with couple of friends, precisely 5 of us students from France. We really had no problem booking the property because Borna (the owner's son) is also a student so we were in touch all the time really easily and the check in was made with no problem. He met us on the airport upon our arrival and transferred us directly to the house. The most amazing view in all of Split for sure! Views of the sea and islands of Brac and Ciavo with the forest all around the house. Big shady yard was the place where we spent most of the time. The house alone is comfortable for 4-5 people and the small apartment right by the house also accommodates 2+2 persons so there was plenty of place for us. We had 4 bedrooms and 2 toilets and plenty of space. All in all the house was really tidy and clean and it is well equipped (good Wi-fi, new dishwasher, washing machine and AC, 2 TV, computer, stereo ...) Borna was really helpful and spent his time to guide us all around Marjan park and the everything interesting for us in the center and around. We had a really good time and will definitely come again some time.

“Perfect Solitude”

Reviewed 2 Nov 2014

Villa Karina offers a great location just inside Marjan Park. The park is perfect if you just want to enjoy a quiet moment, go for a walk, or go for a run (or bike) along its may trails through the forested hills that make up the center of the park. Amazing views at the top of the hill. You can see the entire city and surrounding areas. When I got there in mid-October the weather had just turned too cold and windy to really enjoy the beach, but can tell it would be ideal in the summer. About a two mile trip to the city itself which makes for a pleasant walk or short drive. There is a parking lot right before you enter the city which is very convenient if you are not in the mood for walking. The city itself is beautiful. Some recommended stops are of course Diocletian's Palace, the Bokeria Restaurant (one of the best steaks I've ever had in my life), and the Adriatic Restaurant (great view of the sea with seafood to match). The apartment has three bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen, a living/dining room, outside patio with view of the water, and wi-fi access. I didn't spent much time in the room as I was running around in the park and city all day, but the apartment is comfortable and well-furnished. Unless you like the hum of the city, I highly recommend this apartment as a unique Split experience where you can have complete peace and quiet for your entire stay.

“Beautiful location!”

Lovely house, great location, very hospitable owners!!! We enjoyed our stay in the house very much! Borna and his family was very friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the meal you cooked for us!!! Thank you very much again! The house has well equiped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, great garden. There are few lovely beaches not far from the house. There is a bus running to the centre of Split. There are lovely walks around the place with beautiful views to the sea. Overall, we loved our holiday in this place and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

“we had a beautiful stay!”

Reviewed 2 Apr 2014

I was in Villa Karina with a couple of friends and I have to say we had a wonderful stay there! The House is beautiful and perfectly located. It's surrounded by nature but nevertheless you aren't far from the city centre. Near by the house there are several beaches and if you want to do some sports ( bicycle, running, etc.) you just have to go in front of the door, because the house is in the middle of a recreational park with jogging trails and tennis courts. The House itself is lovely with a big garden. We really enjoyed our evenings whilst sitting at the table under the olive tree and having a look at the sea. Also the owner was very friendly and gave us some good informations for our stay in and around split. All in all I highly recommend this place if you want a silent place to stay but with a good connection to the city.

“Everything we could ask for”

Zoran and his family not only opened up their home to us, but they opened up their hearts as well. They took the time to tell us what we should see in Split and offered assistance if we needed it. We were a group of students on holiday, and the location of Zoran's villa was perfect for us. We had a view of the ocean right from the villa's patio area, where we could watch the sun rise and set. That patio area was probably my favorite spot in the villa since it was perfect for hanging out and enjoying warmth. The villa was in a beautiful location with very close access to the beach. Zoran told us where we could rent bikes so that we could explore the city and surrounding areas. Everywhere we went, the people were so nice and accommodating in Split. Zoran's son recommended that we dine at restaurant adriatic GRaŠO for traditional cuisine and fantastic seafood. Boy, was he right!! It was the most delicious meal I had in my whole Eurotrip! If wi-fi is important for you, rest assured that Zoran's villa had great internet connection! I was able to facetime with my family in america perfectly! They loved being able to see where I was. Zoran's villa is also a ten minute walk from a beach that has wi-fi too! I highly recommend staying at this villa for a charming and memorable stay in Split!

“perfect holydays”

we loved the quiet and peaceful place, the lovely house closed to the wood and closed to the sea, the birds and the squirrels in the garden, and the starry sky. we enjoyed to look around the fish- and fruitmarkets early in the morning and to find out the famous places of the wonderful ancient Split, to listen to concerts at night and to take the ferries to the islands of course. we also visited very interesting hisorical places like Trogir and Sibenic and the antique ruins of Salona. What we liked best? Maybe to be sure that tomorrow the sun will still shine:-))
