“This property exceeded our expectations”
Just spent 5 perfect weeks in this lovely villa in the stunning rolling hills of Umbria. On our arrival we were so delighted to open the door & have our expectations exceeded within the first 5 minutes. We had had a huge flight then drive, arriving very late in the night to find the key where promised. The first tick! Everything was presented beautifully and we were greeted by comfy beds with crisp linens that we crawled into & just crashed. In the morning the view of the private garden through our juliet balconies of the private garden was everything we had been waiting for. We were well overdue for a holiday so we wanted a comfortable home that would allow us to lounge around, enjoy our surroundings & recharge our batteries. When the batteries were sufficiently recharged we also wanted to be within a reasonable distance of our favourite Umbrian & Tuscan towns for when we were ready to venture out. This villa provided it all. We found it particularly spacious compared to other properties in Europe in this price range where in past years we have been squashed in like sardines in some. When you are having an extended stay you don't want to feel like you are on top of each other & this villa certainly allowed us all our own space. Days at home were spent lounging around the open fire, roasting delicious home made sausages from the local market & chargrilling chicken on the coals. We clipped rosemary from the garden and, despite being there in the depths of winter, even had lunch in the private garden and soaked up the sun and stunning views. I was amazed to witness my 15 year old sons taking a daily walk & returning home with exclamations about the breathtaking views in every direction. Even before sampling the world acclaimed wines, delicious gelatti, devine pizza, mouth watering pasta, amazing day trips to Florence, Rome, Todi, Cortona, Assisi, Perugia, Orvieto and many more this beautiful villa had already given us the perfect holiday. We highly recommend it!
“Lovely villa in Umbrian countryside”
We spent 5 lovely april days in Villa Nina. The house is well placed to explore the many delightful Umbrian towns (but a car is essential) . The owners kept us well informed with emails leading up to the stay and there was plenty of information at the villa to help us make the most of the area. The house was spacious enough for 8 people, tastefully decorated and well equipped with everything we needed. The addition of a second shower and toilet was an unexpected bonus. We cooked, drank superb wine and relaxed in front of an open fire. Our two families felt very much at home there and would highly recommend it .
“This is the Life.”
We all 9 Ladies loved our peaceful and relaxing holiday at beautiful Casa Nini Villa. We visited wonderful historical towns such as Todi,Assisi, and Orvieto just to name a few. At the Villa girls were impressed with tasteful decor and the spectacular views inside and outside. We particularly loved the view of Camerata from the bathroom window.Villa had room to move, comfy antique beds and a well equipped kitchen. One of our highlights would have to be our villa cooked Italian meal prepared by two local ladies. The evening was relaxing as we sang and sampled local wine by the open fire. Thankyou Diane and Margaret.
“Peace and tranquility in the Umbrian countryside”
This villa, in the middle of the Umbrian countryside, provided us with a wonderfully relaxing holiday. It is close to many beautiful Italian towns and villages, particularly Orvieto, Assisi and Perugia, which allow you to sample the best of Umbria. The villa itself caters for all your possible needs, from a well equipped kitchen to a large fireplace to keep you warm in winter. The nearby town of Todi has a large supermarket for your supplies, or you can visit the village over the field, for daily needs. We totally enjoyed our time at Casa Nini.
We spent two weeks at this beautiful villa in the Umbrian countryside in the summer. We ate every night in the orchard with meals made from the fruit of the orchard. The house was well set out with beautiful décor. The nicest thing about it was we really felt like we had experienced what it was like to live in Italy. The surrounding towns were wonderful to explore or you could just spend time enjoying being in the villa. I would strongly recommend anyone going to Italy to consider staying there. A short easy two hour drive form Rome and 45 mins from Florence . Very centrally located.
“Ottimo, bellisimo e splendente!!!”
Dear Peter and Di, what a joy to have spent a week at Casa Nini.As you know I travel far and wide but a week in such a lovely "casa di campagna" was just the place and tonic for us and we shall be returning. You have most authentically and tastefully decorated the place a l'Italiano with everything to make our stay inviting and comfortable. It was lovely to sit in the garden having an apperitivo overlooking the valleys and hills and the open fire place was a lovely retreat for our evening's dinner. I could go on and on but as I said earlier we shall be returning and introducing it to our friends as a lovely and most Italian get away for they like me like to be immersed in the local culture and people. Thank you as well for directing us to so many of the hillside towns and restaurants and particularly the Montepulciano reds. Ah me I feel like getting on a plane and heading there now.
