Description

A sympathetically renovated stone cottage in a small village with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside in the heart of beautiful Central Portugal.

This charming house retains most of its internal stone walls and has been renovated to provide a good, comfortable standard for self catering holidays. There is a living room, 3 double bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen and a shower room. The private garden is to the front of the house, has a charcoal BBQ and outside dining furniture and sun loungers.

The house is in an ideal situation for visiting the area or having a relaxing holiday in the peace and quiet of the beautiful countryside. The nearest river beach is in Folques 3kms away where you will also find public BBQ`s, tables and benches with many other river beaches in the area waiting to be discovered by you!

Yes pets are allowed with previous permission and wifi works well in the house for those who need to stay in touch with the outside world! Many guests like to use the outside BBQ and enjoy their supper watching the sun set behind the distant mountains. We hope that you will return to Portugal in the future!

“It was home from home but with much better views”

Jane was very helpful and made us welcome, one day she showed us around the village. The house was very nice, clean and comfortable and had everything that was needed and plenty of logs for the fire. The views are breath taking and the fresh oranges from the tree were heavenly. This was our second time at one of Jane's cottages and both times we enjoyed our stay, we will book again anytime we plan to go there. Many thanks for making us welcome !!!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
