“Perfect Villa beyond our wildest dreams”
From the moment we arrived and met Karolina, our stay was wonderful. The villa is in the perfect location. The views over the valley and down into Lucca are amazing. We were three generations and the facilities suited everyone from 60 year old Grandad to the 2 year old Grandaughter. Most of our time at the villa was spent in and around the lovely pool , the diving platform was a great plus. Nothing has been left to chance with regard to the equipment and amenities, everything from ice makers to Bouche set, truly we wanted for nothing. Going back to Karolina, she and David were amazing, nothing was a trouble to them and the Pizza night was truly memorable. We don't normally spend our holidays at the same place but we would certainly stay again. I can't speak too highly of Casa Fiori, an unforgettable place. My complements to all concerned.
Response from the owner Dear J, I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for leaving a review! It was a pleasure hosting you and your family. We'd love to host you again anytime.
“Great rooms, pool, chef, service, outdoor dining, views at this”
Chef and villa manager Karolina spoiled us with drop-off meals, pizza parties, and sit-down meals, mostly eaten outdoors in a wonderfully remodeled pigsty. Her attentiveness and suggestions were very helpful. We loved the 6 bedrooms, baths, loft playroom, kitchen, dining room, laundry facilities. When we arrived, we found a tray of just-picked ripe figs and ample starter foods and supplies, and the pool was sooo refreshing. Our grandchildren (5 and 7)loved Lucca's restaurants, bicycling on the walls, gelato desserts. During our 3 weeks at Casa Fiori, all enjoyed trips to Pisa, the beach at Pietrasanta, the Wind Cave, old-town Barga, walled-city Volterra (with audio guides in English), Assisi, Siena and, of course, Florence. The recommended tour guides for Lucca and Florence were excellent. Came home healthy and satisfied from walking, eating, and seeing so much!
“Fabulous Family Event”
Our group of 17 just returned from a week at this beautiful villa. The youngest is 4 months and the oldest 87 years. The villa was perfect for our family and the hosts made everything so accommodating for our group. James was wonderful to work with via email. During the week we enjoyed a pizza party, a cooking class and a meal delivery. Although we ventured to Cinque Terre, Lucca, Pisa and Florence as well as a genealogy expedition to a small nearby town, everyone desperately wants to return and just stay put at the beautiful villa! The views are supreme! Although I must include full disclosure that the road to/from the villa takes a bit of getting used to. Don't try to get there your first time in the dark with fog as we did! Just as James promised, by the end of the visit we were all old pros at it. We all certainly want to return and do highly recommend it for family gatherings!
The experience at the Casa Fiori was excellent! Communication with Mr Edmunds, and the rental agreement were very easily dealt with. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Karolina, in spit of our late arrival. We immediately fell in love with the place. It was spacious, clean, very well organized. All modern comforts are available and working perfectly. The location was simply breathtaking. During our entire stay we had no problem with the amenities, and could not have any better service delivered (with a smile) by Karolina and James. The whole experience was so beautiful that we intent to repeat it in the near future!
Before we arrived at Casa Fiori, we had a taste of how fabulous it is by browsing James's gorgeous photos and from Google Street View. But nothing could prepare our group for just how incredible this house and the scenery really are. The house is huge, with an eclectic mix of Tuscan features, modern appliances and fixtures, and exotic artifacts from around the world. There is every luxury and comfort here, including beautiful outdoor spaces and the pool, beautiful dining spots, lovely bathrooms and more. As a group of foodies, we made great use of the gourmet kitchen, picking fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden every day to complement our many trips to the local Essalunga grocery store (which is itself divine). Then there were karaoke nights (complete with speaker, mic and instruments), with my five-year-old as hostess, in the TV room. Great fun! James gave us some terrific insider tips about where to shop, day trips (including excellent directions), restaurants and more. He helped us make the most of our way-too-short week at Casa Fiori. Karolina and Dawid also helped make our stay wonderful, with advice about local activities, keeping the grounds and pool immaculate and their warmth and friendliness. They all made sure we knew that, truly, Casa Fiori was our home for the week. I wish it could have been ours for longer. If you want a luxurious yet comfortable Tuscan villa experience that's great for groups and kids, close to many must-do day trips, and is "secluded" yet minutes from the walled city of Lucca, this is the place. Not just recommended: encouraged! You'll love it.
“Heaven in the hills of Tuscany”
What a perfect vacation experience. This beautiful villa is truly special. Fabulous panoramic views, peaceful and convenient location, and extensive extras provided throughout the home provided for a week that surpassed expectations. This home is more gorgeous then even the photos show, and the owners have ensured that every need and want is provided. Beyond what we knew was provided, we were spoiled with an abundant vegetable garden, gourmet spices and kitchen necessities, a high-end washing machine and appliances, and furnishings, books, videos and games that allowed us to feel completely and luxuriously at home. The outdoor "piggery" is a stand alone small all-window building with wetbar, large dining table, and gorgeous views. James was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the rental process, and Karolina ensured that all our needs were meet and questions answered while we were there. The only part we didn't like about Casa Fiori was leaving it. We can't wait to go back!
“Most wonderful holiday”
My wife and three kids had the most wonderful holiday at Casa Fiori. We have stayed at so many places around the world but loved the homely feel of this house. It was great to be in such an amazing location with breathtaking views moreover the most comforting thing was that feeling of coming home at the end of the day. Holiday houses can sometimes lack warmth and that personal touch. Not Casa Fiori. The interior of this house was obviously designed by the person who lived there and loved their home.
